Hello All,

I am trying to install RO2 using the official client download/installer from this site. After I download the installer (to my D:\TEMP directory) the file I get is named: RagnarokOnline2-Installer-0.0.0.1-20130429.exe.

When I try to run it I get the following error:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    BEX
  Application Name:    RagnarokOnline2-Installer-0.0.0.1-20130429.exe
  Application Version:    3.4.1.14

  Fault Module Name:    StackHash_7c9b
  Fault Module Version:    0.0.0.0
  Fault Module Timestamp:    00000000
  Exception Offset:    PCH_83_FROM_ntdll+0x0003CC2C
  Exception Code:    c0000005

  Additional Information 4:    b82f8e79a634d3e0fb9311ce9a8da2ee

I have tried running as Administrator, installing the latest DirectX, etc. and my computer definately meets the minimum requirements.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thank you.

First suggestion would be to copy the installer to an external drive (HDD or thumb drive) and try running it in a different computer. If it runs, then the problem is obviously with something in your pc.

From a quick search on google, the most recent error related i found was due to a bad update in Norton antivirus, but the error was slightly different in that case so it might not be the same. Yet it's worth considering it might be a conflict with some software you have running.

In that case maybe restarting the pc in Safe mode (which usually disables most startup process that aren't needed) and running the installer might work.

Have you tried downloading the game installer to your Desktop instead of Temp?

Yes i have tried everything. I am a computer engineer and I keep all my PCs in tip top shape and never have an issue with 99.999% of software I install/download. There is definately an issue with this installer.

Did you try it in a different computer to be sure it's an issue with the installer? I don't like arguing, but as computer engineer you should know that if a software works for everyone else, but fails for one person, then it's not usually the software's fault unless it's due to a conflict with other software / hardware present in the computer.

The best way to troubleshoot that is testing a different computer. Or redownloading the installer (but considering the size of it, i'd leave this as a last option once it's been confirmed the error happens in any pc).

Edit: Knowing what windows version you're using would help to see if someone else ever experienced the same error
