The recent drastic change on Dayr Desert drops and price nerf has post a shock on those player who rely on selling the loot to NPC as the main source of income. Although this price nerf is a good move better late than never for the sake of future economy (market price of items eventually will come down because the zeny generated into the server have been significantly cut down), but it may takes several weeks or even months to see the effect since there are still a massive amount of zeny circulating in the server. For now, the market price of items are still relatively high especially for new player and for those who face a sudden cut off of main income. To ease their lost and loss, and to speed up the price drop effect, a zeny sink event can act as a good catalyst.
 
In line with the developer's 4 Weeks Cycle Plan, thereby I propose the 4th week of cycle to be a Zeny Sink Week.
 
The 4 Weeks Cycle Plan is listed as below:
1st Week = Happy Hour Box Week.
2nd Week = Exp Boost and Dapara Item Event Week.
3rd Week = Pending...?
4th Week = Zeny Sink Week.

Let's wish for a Gigantic Zeny Sink Event along with the 4th Anniversary!

The implementation of the Zeny Sink Event on this proposal is similar to the Le Royal Casino previously, but with more variation of event boxes.
Now let's look at the types of event boxes.

Actually there is a simple and good idea to lower item's price in Auction House as suggested by someone long long time ago. I will quote what he said here: 

One of the ideas already presented on this was the very simple solution of allowing items to be sorted by price (per unit?) (for either bid or buyout), so that the cheapest option was always displayed first.  This has the effect of causing the cheapest offers to always get sold first, rather than the most recent offers.  People trying to push up the price will only end up on later pages, unless all cheaper versions sell out.  Yes, it means that this would not stop resales (people who buy out all the cheapest and then sell for a higher price to make a profit), but it would still improve things.

Make the kafra NPC sell honing scrubs for ~300z each. Honing is such an arduous process and it takes craptons of attempts to get what you want; usually costing more than the gear itself is worth to get.

The only small concerns I have I'll list below. The key to make this a successful sink would to give items people would be willing to drop alot of zeny into and still get something worthwhile even if it isn't the exact item they wanted. The old box, we got A LOT of potions, they ended up costing from box more than AH but they could still be used or resold for a loss.

Ya, personally I feel the old casino box have too much redundant items that discourage player to "sink" more zeny, so I think the next one shouldn't practise the same approach again. Was trying to design in the way that every single item from the box is useful to the target player, so that people feel it worth their zeny.

 

Basic - I will strike out the large bag, really redundant if bought in large amount. Jumper will stay with low rate as suggested by other. 

 

Casual - Hope casual player can enjoy it.

 

Premium - Currently I have no idea yet besides the proposed storage related items, because I'm trying to make them the "blockbuster" of the premium box. Ya, I agree that rush can create more bugs.   - Updated with Equipment Unbind Key, lol..   

 

Elite - Plan this because want more "power sink". Was trying to design that these items will cost lower than the market price now, so that people feel it's worth buying from casino box than from auction house.

Keep the jumping ticket (since main target is for newbies), and add a stat reset scroll and a skill reset scroll into it with low but rationable rate (like 5%), or random reset scroll box with slight higher rate (like 10%). They are not only needed for newbies but will also even attract the veteran players to gamble (more zeny sink).
Casual
Most of those items are coming from HHB, which mean even less attracting the casual player (why buy in casino when they can farm it freely during hhb, and u know buying 1 stack hhb will be cheaper and get more rather than buying that boxes). I suggest to revamp the most contents to something that *until our version now* HHB dont have, such as custome fusion, acc fusion, premium dye, no element, etc.
Premium
Ur suggestion is very interesting, but it needs time to develop those contents working without bugs. But if i suggest for something that we can have it now, ill put some stuffs like RR, super puncher, precise honing hammer x1, random 100% honing box, etc.
Elite
In addition to what u suggest *since its too shallow to have 3 kinds of item only*, i will add +10 stones, special buff (such as norn bless and midgard grace), and the jackpot will be refine transfer ticket (ofc with low rate but reasonable such as 5%).

We had two other ideas for event weeks that just haven't made it to live because of the added development it requires. One was Monster Invasions week, another was a PvP Week.

 

But this one could give items to players and hopefully be a good sink.

On the bright side of OP items in AH. Sold my valuables in less than half an hour after selling them for normal price (reasonable/real price) in AH.

If we (majority to 50%) could just ignore the OP items in AH and sell in a resonable price the prices will eventually normalize. The most reasonable situation to overprice is only if you are selling a very rare item (most likely the top 10% or less only have this).

Let the OP items rot in AH!!!

Be careful also about the number of items in the stack, some are fishing with low prices (low for max item per stack) but with a less items in the stack (quite OP per item).

 

Or the management could set a guide table of prices for the items like the SEA merge where the mermaid DNA became 400-500z if i'm not wrong.

Don't worry, it's certainly not forgotten. Suggestions are sent on to development and if approved, they take time to be developed. Something like this may make its way into the game, but it will take some time since they are currently working on the Jawaii update and other requests we've thrown their way.

     Well, as a suggestion. If you will lose income by putting warpportal selling items then why not put other items like Deviruchi Books that dont drop anymore. Other suggestion are costumes and unions and experience points and PVP points.

- Card Enhanced Stone x20 --> 500z x20 = 25000 z

so, the good side of this is that this should "flood" the market and prizes should go down, but idk how much it would go down in one week period (since that is the idea: to make a zeny sink week). For some items like card coating paper, dye and spinel the prizes should be able to drop enough to not make profit from the boxes (because if you make profit of the box it will not sink the zenies xD). Others are just too high up in comparison to the box prize. I still think that since it is a zeny sink event all of the items contained in the boxes should be char bound, that way they wont enter the market and the zeny will be gone for good    but I really like the idea!
