i know this may be a little unnessacerry but for days now ive en looking to buy a heroic backpack, but the price just keeps getting pushed up by people trying to sell +0 hbp for stupid ammounts, why??? why would you ust make everyones life harder by doubling the price of an item that clearly is not worth 50-65mil??? i can assure you noone with half a brain will pay this amount...

it is call the free market.

 

a item's value is determined by how much people are willing to value. If the price for the hbp is going up despite the recent market flood then people value this item very much.

Supply and demand. I promise ya, the price will slowly increase from now on until a lucky box with hbp comes out. (You may be in for a long wait, Id say buy now <.< )

HBP is worth far more than 50~65mil. The only reason they've been this cheap recently has been solely because the market got flooded with them from the January box. Their price will only keep on climbing from here until such a time comes again that they're distributed inside another monthly box.

Yea HBP used to be 300m then 150m then like 99m then current prices which is a measly 40m

 

On the other hand FAW used to be like less than 50m then suddenly jumped to 150m with enchant update

 

I think its cause everyone complained about greed that GMs were like 'well den lets give everyone greed so they cant complain' and put it in boxes which were cheap

i am really hoping the GM's will turn their target toward wrecking the Skull cap and faw market and leave the hbp and cod market alone for a while.

i  realise this, i should have bought a week ago when they where 39.5m but it was like one day i woke up and they where 50-60m and now i can afford the upgrades i  dont want to pay the massive 10m differance XD

that must have been a long time ago. I got my first hbp in late 2013 by trading a neurtalizer and 60m for it.

When I started playing more than two years ago, I bought a +6 HBP from a friend worth 300mil zeny....

and  few weeks later the HBP started flooding the market and turned the prize to around 100-200mil-ish...

That still haunts me whenever I start remembering it. So the lesson is, if you have the fuzzy feeling that HBP will be coming up soon, then you should wait on get one. Otherwise, buy one now if you can!

The reason why the price went up in one day was because after maintenance, the source of supply for new backpacks was removed. In other words, the people willing to sell for 40m ran out of their supply. The January Groove Pack (first appeared in Cash Shop January 14) had them. Even though it was removed from the Cash Shop during the February 4 maintenance, Grandma Boxter was still handing out those boxes in exchange for brownie points. With the most recent maintenance (February 25), she stopped handing out those boxes and is now giving away the Bloody Valentine Lucky Box. 

 

EDIT: As others have recommended, it's better to buy now at 50m instead of waiting for someone to possibly sell at a lower rate out of desperation. Or wait until someone puts up a +7 HBP for sale for 99m. That's a good deal, and it's bound to happen eventually. That's a risky proposition, though, because it will get snatched up quickly once it's listed on Ragial. You could end up waiting for it indefinitely without getting it. Meanwhile, the price of an unrefined version could eventually get back up to 99m.

bought mine for that much too a couple years ago. then a week later they were in a lucky box and the price dropped like a brick. now i cry on the inside a little every time i see one being vended lol
