Is the extra damage worth the cost? I love having so much hp/sp from the e.variants. And the fact that they are already +9 is a huge incentive to keep using them.
Always looking for ways to add more damage to my build.
Last question. What enchants should I keep my eyes open for?

Depends what you need/want. If you're at 193 aspd without the temp agis, you can try strength boots (BP is awesome for RC/mobbing, LD is a bit weaker in the damage department but more all-rounded vs regular mobs who don't spam skills imo. Bad thing about BP is it procs when YOU get hit, which with hallu walk vs MVPs isn't that often from my experience). Temp luk if you need/want more crit damage. Stick with enh variants if you need/want the HP/SP/mdef.
EDIT:
That's mostly from my point of view as a crit katar build. It may not apply if you're a DD crit build.

for rolling cutter leveling i used a +9 temp str fs7/bp and it worked really well, although i don't think going for 120 str just for the 50 atk is worth it.
best for single target damage would be temp agi/luk with lucky day.

While I love critting, RC is important in a lot of situations. Which is why I'm leaning towards strength. Going agi temp boots just feels overkill for aspd.
Gonna cost a stupid amount of zeny but the positives seem to out weight my pessimistic thought lol.
I may need to change my play style a bit... More damage just sounds better than a cushion of hp (as nice as it is lol).

if you're using hunter flies and/or a rideword hat the extra damage definitely helps your survivability.
