Events

Valentines Day Quest leaves

 

Select Rental Items will last for 72 hours longer when opened this week. This promo ends next week. 

 

VIP Exp and drops bonuses return to normal

 

Alchemist/Blacksmith Rankings reset next week

 

Parties deleted to free up old party names

 

 

Updates

Section 9 development group has nearly finished work on an classic update to the plugin that will pop up a message (example: Poring 2/10) when you kill a monster that you have a hunt mission for. 

 

Gargoyles will no longer be on Janeway's menu! We're removing gargoyles from her high level hunt and replaced with Pitman. 

 

Kafra Stacker and Ripped Calus clones appear in Prontera in addition to those found in the Eden Group

 

NPC warpers added in asgard village for all basis 1st class jobs

 

Valkyrie NPC will appear in the Training Grounds next to the guy who gives the class questionaire who will be able to supply you with basic class gear and transport you to the Asgard Village.

Give us easier access to eden please or put all the npcs in asgard - move the spawn up nearer the npcs. It takes so long to walk up there.

What are the plans for the Challenge Dungeon?

It was mentioned earlier that there are very poor drops and the exp isnt to scale based on the HP / time to kill the mobs. Theres no reason for anyone to be down there, so whats the point of the challenge dungeon?

Speaking of Asgard, I noticed that there's a mage NPC that will warp you to Geffen. Any plans on adding any more of the first class NPC helpers any time soon?

Camp will be working on that when he gets back next week.

wait, eden still exists? i got lost on stream trying to find the enriched guy to waste some things :c

 

give section 9 a hi5 for that update though! also excited for isis (isises?)! i see there's a question mark near the spawn changes thing, so what's going on there? ominous and exciting, i like it! also always good to hear more about asgard improvements. pretty good maint, it seems :B

A neat trick is just to use pront warp pass walk right to the middle Kafra, there is a Mailbox that warps you to the Mail Annex, walk south and youll be in Eden!

I am going to randomly throw out some ideas and comments now:

 

For Classic, an easy to complete daily quest at a late level (like level 90ish?) would be neat. Something like "deliver x item to this npc somewhere in the world." (the npc could change locations every time)  Reward - 1 random card (including MVP's) repeatable once per 24 hours. Like a prize for winning the game.

 

Challenge dungeon - Maybe have the monsters get 1 HP but total immunity against all elements but one. Spread out in the dungeon there could be matching converters lying around. Also have the monsters do less damage and inflict lots of status effects if you get too close. entry could be restricted to at least level 70. Rewards could be a choice of several gold bricks, a large chunk of EXP or a random card. (idk)

 

Isis is better than Gargoyles but their spawn is pretty low.

I think changing it from Gargoyles to Isis just made it harder for newbies to achieve (more aggro monsters, MVP roaming around, 125% holy damage vs 200% earth from gargoyles, harder to get to via walking). Spawn not instant as well so that just increases the risk of running into MVP while trying to find more Isis

At least its the complete opposite of gargoyles map: open space, easy to walk around, find monsters.

instead of isis, why not something like Seals or Moscovia mobs (be nice to see that map alive) plus stems and blue herbs to sell to those greedy big guilds!

 

Seals might be a little rough if they waterball.

Isis is a bit worrisome because that map gets reallllllly mobby and ancient mummies + mimics are scary

 

using this list of mobs for things with roughly the same hp

Pitmen - infact the whole einbech dungeon is kind of cool and not too rough.

So I went on hiatus when my computer exploded itself and put off playing again because of my job but...

 

Will there ever be some kind of fix for the No ClientInfo error? On my new comp it's soooo bad. I can get into Renewal just fine but I've tried ever combination of resolution and sound settings, Windows compatability and disabling DPI scaling and nothing works :/

Gotta ask again. Me and a few other people have hunted Magic Bible Vol1 [1] enough to believe it's not implemented at the rate given by irowiki. Or even implemented at all.

Can we get confirmation on this and the reasoning for it?

 

Also can we consider reverting the bio3 spawns back to normal? I don't mean putting the old hwiz back in I mean increasing the spawns back to normal. That being said, I have noticed a lot of people asking for the instant spawn hwiz to be put back in. I don't care about that though, I just want the density restored. Bio3 is too easy right now.

The client being crap and returning the ClientFile missing error happened on so many machines before, I know, but this is one time where it absolutely didn't work and I had to bug my fiance to let me on his comp to return something in-game to someone. And I've searched for some kind of fix but nope... I'm just kind of boned out of playing on my own comp and I though I'd complain about it now even though the issue is literally as old as the server is.

The client being crap and returning the ClientFile missing error happened on so many machines before, I know, but this is one time where it absolutely didn't work and I had to bug my fiance to let me on his comp to return something in-game to someone. And I've searched for some kind of fix but nope... I'm just kind of boned out of playing on my own comp and I though I'd complain about it now even though the issue is literally as old as the server is.

I was able to get past this by running the client from the actual folder on the harddrive, are you running from a shortcut/start menu?

Something I found out recently: Novice Red Potions have a weight of 1. Sucks because they're character-bound. Can we get a fix for this by making them have zero weight/account-bound/etc.?

If I need to be zeroed out for something like trans or a reset, I just sell them. They're pretty worthless after Lv20 anyway.

Just run Renewal Patcher (leave the patcher open) then run Classic. You can exit the Renewal patcher after you open a Classic client. It fixes the clientinfo bug for a while for me.

 

Edit: Just happened to me today, I had to open a Renewal Client, then Open Classic Client and it works :( idk why I had to go the extra step this time!
