I want to level my RK and it seems like a lot of people use the Turkey on Head headgear for healing purposes.  Is there an NPC that sells eggs?  If so where?  If not, why is anybody using this headgear?  The time to hunt even a couple hundred eggs just to be used up in 15mins of mobbing does not seem like it would be worth it..

You sure that people use Turkey to heal? I never heard that anyone did. Turkey's better perk is the +10% MHP and MSP because a lot of skills depend on MSP and MHP. Eggs aren't for healings, man. That's why majority of people put Carat card on it. WPH is the better hat for HP recovery.

the headgear is amazing at high refine levels due to the hp/sp bonus.  This would be especially useful carded with a carat card on a DB RK.  

 

wearing the hat also gives you a chance of getting eggs from monsters you kill.  otherwise you could farm mobs in moscovia for eggs but that's a pain in the ass.

 

the valentine's day quest that was just taken out came with an npc that sold eggs but it's gone now.  you couldn't really buy in bulk anyway.

ToYH is not used for healing, because as you pointed out, eggs are not readily available in healing-item appropriate quantities. It's worn for the HP/SP (ie, DB damage) increase.
