I still dont understand GC in the modern contemporary RO. Yes we all know it now sucks balls for a skill but something still befuddles me as much as the next guy............is it now effected by % mods such as Hydra card and other physical/Size %mods compared to its pre-renewal counterpart? Anyone have tested this at alll? Some insight would be nice. Thanks in advance!

From what I know about Renewal changes to the skill, is that its now an attack that deals both ATK and MATK and is effected by both DEF and MDEF of the target, pretty much similar to how the mechanics of Acid Bomb now works, and since Acid Bomb is effected by Hydra card and other physical % mods, I can only speculate that GC would be the same.

Finally registred here to clear some things up.
I´m one of the editors of fROwiki and thats what we found out so far:
- Grand Cross hits 1-5 times, depending highly on position and movement of enemy/enemies.
- When one or more monsters are on a single cell of GC, the number of hits are reduced by 1 per monster (to a minimum of one hit to one monster).
- 4-5 hits only apply, if the Mob is still walking towards the Crusader.
- Grand Cross does not work when wearing a Golden Thief Bug Card.
- The Holy as applied at the end of calculations, meaning you get Holy*Weapon element for the Atk portion and Neutral*Holy for the Matk portion.
- The MATK portion of this skill will never "MISS".
- Race/Size/Elemental % Cards do work with Grand Cross, as the [Slaughter] Effect from KVM Weapons does. Pure ATK/MATK +% Increase (Turtle General Card) do not Work (MoH, RWC Rings etc.).
- The same applies for the MATK Part.
- Skill does not ignore Size modifiers.
- Does not work with Ice Pick and Memory of Thanatos Card.
- Does not work with Defence bypassing effects.

Even we are some updates behind, the Skillformulas should be the same or similar to iRO. Im quite sure there werent Updates on ths skill since RE.

Last time I checked the Skill, 2x MoH + RWC Hat gave me nothing.
I switched to 1 Gyges Ring (+30MATK) and 1 FS Enchanted RWC Ring, then finally the damage increased.
Weapons used: Elemental Sword, Bazerald, Imperial Spear
Ill check it later and post my results.

Whenever I was leveing my RG as Class 2-1 I was able to hit like 18k peer hit on Dark Priests with a 8x Crusader, I wasn't using any acc and full damage reduction set, except by the weapom and shadow atk gear. But the same skill wasn't doing more than 5k peer hit in the Headless Mule, so I guess it would only work well with Weak to Holy monsters =/
Using a STR>INT>VIT>DEX build.

Such tests are really hard with Skills like "Grand Cross" which can differ extremly after every Attack.
Somehow i Skill resetet all my RGs and no one do have GC 10 anymore :/
Tests done with Grand Cross 5 so they arent 100%ly viable, but you will get the point.
Ill do the test again, if I get GC 10 again.

So in other words, depending on the gears "it" can potentially turn GC into as deadly a skill as a 3rd Class skill. This is indeed a fascinating discovery, thankyou for your hard work everyone.............now to kill you all and claim the discovery as my own work and write an award winning thesis on it..................

Doing this week Elder low TI, using rwc ring and pendant. +12 RWC knife. When i switch to rudolf hairband to heal i do 3k hits, when i put clean +12 RWC Pin i do 3,6k hits, since RWC pin only gives % atk/matk, im pretty sure it affects

+% atk should effect atk portion, +% matk should effect matk portion.

Hmm... yes If I stacked up enough of it and used inspiration to further Test it, it did but pure ATK/MATK giving gears by numbers did greater affect my Damage. Status ATK where over 500 btw.
So still... in my opinion it is better damage wise to stack pure ATK/MATK then the % ones even if the eATK exceeds 400.
Correct me if I am wrong, thats how my tests wents.

Thankyou to everyone providing all the info and such. It is truely great to see that even though its no longer a possible build used by everyone, people still went out of their way to test out ways to increase GC damage.
