Is it possible to be hacked just because chatting with random stranger?

 

so i met with this random dude today in eden group. he suddenly send me friend request and i am accept it (because i am selling item at eden so i thought he was a buyer).

and the he chatted me asking me where i come from, and i answered him

 

after that i realize that there were some case where the hacker asking the victims some question, like where you come from and so on. so i delete him immediately......

 

he wasnt ask my password, and ever since i answer where i come from he wasnt ask anything else

so im kinda paranoid now :s

 

 

p.s: i have checked his char info in ropd info and do not find his name there :|

NO. You won't get hacked if you do not give away your password to anyone or website.

You can always change your WP account password and RO account password if you're paranoid. In terms of general online security, "experts" recommended that you change your passwords every few months anyway.

Sometimes they ask you to install stuff (obviosuly never do that) they could potentially have someone a teamviewer thing that would allow them to view your screen and watch you type stuff and etc.

I hate it when a site forces me to change my password every so often. If my account hasn't been compromise, why should I change my password if it's doing what it's supposed to do?
