Recently decided to roll a brand new Merchant, very soon to be Alchemist.

Currently AOE leveling with Cart Revolution but finding it a little weak at the moment. Roughly 800 damage.

Sold everything I had when I quit some time ago and so I have a little over 500m to invest into this character but sadly no idea what to spend it on.

So I am looking for advice on what would be good gearing choices for the build, based on the budget.

Thank you.

is your cart full?  You do more damage the more weight you have in it.

i would hold off till you are a gene. You should do fine with just eden equips. Once you are level 70 and your homun is at least 70. You should just level in TI within a afkemist party.

Cart revo is 250% atk when the cart is full. If you're doing 800, that means your normal damage is in the 300-350 range? With a good 1 handed sword, high str, and elemental weakness you should be doing 600-700 damage or so (1500~1700+ revo).

Just grab the highest attack 1 handed sword or 2 handed axe that is affordable for you and get like 80+ str, pick up some elemental converters.

Funny enough that would be the Eden Sword/Axe based on my level xD

Guess the gear they give isn't that bad. Is Cart Revolution damage affected by the monster's size? In relation to the weapon size mods? If so the swords seem to have a better profile I think?

Also totally forgot about Converters...been away for quite a while =/

So basically, get as much ATK as possible? But beyond that, what would be good gear to have for AOE leveling?

I have a quite unfortunate lack of knowledge on that subject.  :p_swt:

Its very unspeciffic knowledge.

Intending to have to tolerate a lot of incoming damage from a large monsters you won't be dodging, gear for high defense, racial resistance, and neutral elemental resistance. Perfect dodge gear can be useful.

Well that's the unfortunate difficult part, so much gear to sort through.

Its also unspeciffic gear that can be used on all characters of all classes at reasonable resale value, so there is nothing too complicated to it. Get a neutral resist garment, a couple common race shields, and you're usually good to go.

I just meant that I have very little knowledge of the gear available in this game so I'll be sorting through the wiki and it's database for a while and figure things out.

Least I know what I'm looking for now, thank you.

Raydric is common for garment, or at least harpy or orc baby.

thara frog card for demi humans, penomena card for formless, khalitzburg for demons, those are the most common races you can get shields for.

ogretooth shield works on the most monsters in the game

"round buckler" is inexpensive and has high DEF.

Just an fyi, no to harpy card, it does not give neutral reduction. It gives formless(race) reduction.

If you need a cheap neutral reduc garment, vali mants are decent.

I had leveled 2 Biochemist so my experience may give you some hint.

I leveled them with jane event, so not much to say before transcend.

I used elemental 2x very strong 2-handed axe, so that at lower level I could use lv3 mammonite to 1 hit elder willow all the way up to around 45. Then fire axe and revo at orc warrior. It should take 2 hit. A increase HP would come handy. Don't forget earth deleter card.

I leveled to 70 in comodo killing grove. It was 2x exp, I guess it is a permanent change due to spotlight before? I was using giant axe with lv 7 mammonite.

After that? Not much to say since at this level, basically TI is the best place. Either you still revo the way up, which I believe is very inefficient, or mammonite. With proper weapon, you could 2hit most monsters.
