to make it clear starting from +9 going to +10~12.

maybe use some safe to 10 certs or just use hd ores until it reaches +10?

Fastest is in direct contrast to cheapest.

 

HD ores is fastest, gg to your wallet

 

Safe to 10 certs are safer obviously, but gg to your in-game wallet. And also, finding them.

 

Honestly, I just wouldn't do it. The price is absolutely ridiculous.

how many ores do u think would i be using just in case i decided to go for it? just an estimate will do.

Assuming you are using Enriched to get back up to +9, then you'd need 10 ores assuming average luck to go from 9->10.

 

Heck, you may just be super lucky and get it on first. Who knows. 

 

Assuming you end up using 10 ores, then you're looking at probably 250 enriched ores (assuming 25 per time you need to go back to +9) and 10 HD ores. These numbers are very vague, obviously. 

 

Why 25 per time to go back to +9? My own personal experience which happens to somewhat coincide with the averages people would get. 

 

You're looking at 60 USD, roughly. 

 

I'm told Safe to 10 certs are approximately 99mil z?

 

I donno which is a better idea, but I personally would rather spend in game money than flood via cash shop. Sunken costs can lead a person to keep spending IRL cash and quickly turn what should have been 10 or so USD into 60+ USD.

 

I would rather avoid that.

Going from +9->+10

The success rate going +9->10 is 10% (for level 4 weapons and armor). The options are to do HD Ori/Elu, or to use Safe to 10 Certificates. But which is the better option?

On average, it will take 10 attempts to get +10, 9 of which will fail.

So the cost to +10, on average, 10x cost per attempt, plus 9x cost per failure (plus the +9 you started with, of course).

That means, using safe certs, the cost of making a +10 averages ten times the cost of a Safe to 10 Certificate.

Using HD, and one of the Hammers to get back to +9, the average cost is 10 HD's (100kp), plus 9x the cost of going +8->9.

Using HD w/mighty hammer: Average 208 HD, median 115, 90% within 555 HD, with costs of 2080, 1150, and 5550 kp respectively. This places the cost at 18820 KP from +9->10! This also involves 41.6m zeny in upgrade fees (!!!)

Using Enriched Hammer: Average 29, median 13, 90% within 79, with costs of 754, 328, and 2054 respectively with boxes of 10, (551, 247, 1501 with box of 50). This gives us a cost of +9->10 of 6886kp with boxes of 10, and 5059kp with boxes of 50. Upgrade fees are 5.8m either way.

So, to bring this back to safe to 10 certs:

If there is no enriched hammer event running, safe cert replaces 1882 kp of HD ore and 4.1m in upgrade fees, and is almost certainly cheaper.
If there is enriched hammer with boxes of 10, safe cert replaces 687 kp of ore.
If there is enriched hammer with boxes of 50, safe cert replaces 506 kp of ore.

The value of KP and safe certs vary over time and between servers, so I can't say which is a better deal where, but that is what you should compare the cost of a safe to 10 cert when deciding whether it's worth the expense of using them.

If I read that correctly, going from +9 to +10, you can

 

1. Use safe to 10 certs, average is 10 certs

2. Use HD ore, average is 208 HD ores

3. Use a combination of enrich/HD, average is about 6 box enrich(50 count) and 10 HD ore.

 

From personal experience

i have made a +12 jam and a +12 bloody

 

+12 glorious jamadhar took

5 weapon certs

14 enriched oridecon

1 HD oridecon

37 HD bradium

 

+12 glorious bloody roar took

9 weapon certs

152 enriched oridecon

15 HD oridecon

83 HD bradium

Best time to +10 gear is when enriched hammer is here. Get your gear to +9, use an HD ore from there. If it's +10, your gear will always be +10 no matter how many times you upgrade it after that.

Getting to +12 is easy, it's the +10 part that drives you nuts.

If you fail and it goes to +8, use enriched again to +9 your gear and try again.

here is my experience : 

 

My + 10 GBR 

 

a longtime ago i trade my +9immune hbp for 5k wpe.. used ALL of the 5k wpe to get hd ores.. ended up with +7 GBR .. FML!!!!

 

many months later.. recovering from said loss i got 4 safe to 10 certs.. 2 certs later .. +10 GBR .. FTW!!!

 

Soon to come.. +10ing my +9 GJ .. Currently own 1 safe to 10 cert.. B>3 more for 270m PM ME <3
