I'm trying to pick a website to learn some web design on development.

Should I choose Lynda or Tutsplus? I kinda narrowed it down to those 2 based on UI,courses, and what's available.

Neat stuff! I guess most of what I've picked up is through reverse-engineering existing webpages.

I learned HTML from reverse-engineering websites myself. Nowadays I have Dreamweaver, which simplifies the entire process for me but I still utilize my HTML knowledge to some extent with that program.

HTML and CSS are rather easy to pick up once you figure out the language. It's adding JavaScript, Flash, and all those fancy things that makes things more complicated. If you're a complete newbie to everything, you're better off taking classes at your local community college for better hands-on training.
