Installed fresh copy of RO, still not working

After years of off, I tried to play RO by installing new copy to my computer.

Everything goes okay and the updates are set. And when I press 'Play' button on the launcher, nothing happens...

I thought it was a mistake, and samething. No error message, nothing.

Just wouldn't run...

I'm using Windows 7 Pro. Can someone give me a hand?

ok i fixed my problem

 

avast anti virus was the issue.

 

1. check your avast "virus chest" or "quarantine" section for the ragnarok.exe, if there, remove it from the list.

2. go through your settings tab and add ragnarok.exe under the exclusions option

3. lastly though your settings tab under active proctection: file system shield:customize: add ragnarok.exe again under exclusions

 

that fixed my problem
