Wasn't sure where to put this topic.

 

Any-ways i noticed ignition break's on a shadowchasers wielding +12 trip kingbird ET blade slamming 18k's and here i am dealing bearly 7k with duel dagger's / icepick.

Leaves me to ask does ignition break damage increase by these cards.

Is it not melee yet as far i have read it does infact increase it.

I have to ask but would counter slash also benefit from these cards.

It seems they are literally goto card for everyclass and anything with range bonus's is worth huge zeny.

 

Ideally i could get 8 and it would increase all parts of my damage giving me viable aoe clearance. 
Or should i spec jur with grimtooth?

Ignition Break power gets increased if you wield a fire element weapon.

Also don't forget that undeads are weak to fire. Rotten meat and chipping bones cook really well, you know.

Grimtooth is a garbage skill nowadays. archer skel cards should not be used on any GX weapon.

Archer skel cards are the go-to card *for increasing ranged damage*. I suspect the SC using that in his RTE just grabbed the overupped RTE that he uses on another char (probably a genetic) and is using that to level his SC for now. 

 

GX's effective AoE is rolling cutter.

only use for a gx to have archer skeleton compunded is to use Soul Destroyer

actually I do recall a pretty dope video of a guy using RC to charge up counter, backslide, and use CRS to damage MVPs

What is the point here anyway?

First you are talking about SC, referring to another guy doing 18K with Ignition Break then you compare your GX, dual wielding with 7k? Which attack?

 

Ignition Break is melee, even if his range would suppose to being ranged, it is blocked by Safety Wall, not by Pneuma. Even the 11x11 IB is melee (try in PVP and try all ranges with an AS Carded weapon. It doesnt matter)

IB does more damage with Fire Endow, so a Red Naght Sieger is a good weapon for it. You can boost your damage with +%DMG cards (Size/Race/Ele.)

 

Counter Slash is melee so no, it wont be stronger with an AS Weapon.

Soul Destroyer and Cross Ripper Slasher are the skills boosted with it, Grimtooth doesnt work with AS cards (I think Pre Renewal it did, i could be wrong though).

So for Dual Wielding... just SD will be affected by AS cards. CRS is a Katar Only skill (10 RC Counter then EQ switching do not work)

Grimtooth does work with ranged modifiers, just not worth it.

Tested it back in El Dicastes patch and it did not... Maybe again some unnoticed skill patch, like Rapid Smitting changing from ranged to melee... Doesnt even work with Ice Pick or Def Pierce -.-
