If you're looking for something easily accessible I'll suggest to go for Pierce Knights/LK :
- You need to stack some defense (no need for anything extravagant if you're aiming for weak MVPs) and a racial shield.
- Make a Pike with a mix of anti-racial,anti-element and minorous card (or Abysmal Knight cards for when you'll have the funds).
- Check which element is gonna help you maximize your damage and if you're gonna have enough Hit against the boss you're attacking (Pierce has a Hit bonus).
- Check if the MVP has the skill Agility Up(if it does have it you can still kill it with Spear Boomerang but that's alot of work)
- You're gonna need to use potions so you could go for pumpkins with the headgear set or just stack more defense and use npc potions (the later will cost alot in the long run).
Pros : low SP cost (7SP per Pierce), immunity to most of the status with Vit, most of the MVPs are Large making Pierce effective against them.
Cons : annoying to deal with bosses that have Agility Up, requires HP potions since you need to tank.
Hunter/Sniper class can be a good option too :
- Your main concern gearwise is to have a good weapon(there are various options), but you'll sometimes need an appropriate armor(with Marc or Evil druid card) if the MVP can stone/freeze you.
- You need to know how to use traps properly : mainly Ankle Snare and Sandman.
- You need to know how to kite mobs properly.
- Whenever you're fighting an MVP with the skill Dragon Fear(random status to everyone in sight) you pray to Odin you're not gonna get stunned.
- You need to always have Green Potions/Holy Water to cure you from status.
You'll be highly dependant on your flee so you don't want to tank the MVP's mobs while you're attacking it. A simple strategy would be to put down some sleeping traps in front of you, attack the boss with Double Strafe and deal as much damage as you can, meanwhile his mobs are gonna reach you and sleep there for some time. If you feel that the MVP is getting too close, run away and repeat.
Pros : The materials you need are cheap (arrows/traps), equips are cheap, only need some potions for occasional hits.
Cons : you'll get destroyed by anything that ignores your flee (magic/crit/when you have many mobs hitting you),runs out of SP relatively fast, weak to status, can't deal with very high defense MVPs.
Then there's the Wizard/HW option:
- You need to stack decent Dex gears.
- You need to kite all the time.
- You need to use Quagmire to slow down the boss before attacking it (Storm Gust will do the job for anything that isn't Water/Wind/Holy).
- You could also prepare some Safety Walls and switch between them once the one you're standing on is about to disappear. Since you should constantly freeze/kill the MVP's minions with Storm Gust the boss should be the only one hitting you making the Safety Wall last longer.
- Same anti-status potions as Hunters (Green potions/Holy water).
Pros : Very strong damage against most of the MVPs, cheap supplies (blue gemstone and occasional HP potions).
Cons : Dies to anything, requires alot of practice. It's usually better to try it with a support/tank until you get enough gears and experience to solo.
If you're interested I can tell you which MVP can be easily killed on which class
Note : check your pms please.
