JUST WANT TO INFORM TO EVERYONE HERE ESPECIALLY THE OLD VETERANS OF ROSE THAT BARBARA OF RAKISTA DIED 3 DAYS AGO CAUSE OF BREAST CANCER.

 

HERES THE MESSAGE BY ONE OF HER CLOSE FRIEND.

 

i am barbies eldest brother adam. 2 tuesdays ago, she collapsed at work and was taken to the hospital. she died 2 days later.
she found out she had breast cancer in november and was receiving treatments for that. these treatments made her sick she couldnt hardly eat, she lost a lot of weight and her immune system was very weak. then she caught the flu, the doctors said it had turned into pneumonia and with her immune system so low she just couldnt fight it off.
barbie was a beautiful free spirit, she loved life, she loved to laugh, she loved people and was always ready to help a friend when she could. she was a good person. to see her taken from us when she was just getting ready to start a new life truly breaks my heart. but i am a man of faith and i choose to believe that God has a bigger purpose and plan for her and thats why Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior called her home to be with him.
i know you loved her like we did so im sorry for your loss as well. i know its hard but please try to find comfort in the fact that she is in a better place now, she is at peace, and she never has to worry about cancer and being sick again.

NOOOOOOO!!!! Not Kat.  That is what I was afraid you were going to say.  A truly great lady and wonderful, helpful Rose player.  I have missed her from the game sooo much.  I am really sad.  I wish I had known she was fighting a battle for her life.  My condolences to all of you in Rakista, especially Jazz. Thank you for letting us all know. She will always be a part of my fond memories of the old days of Rose.

Kat usually sat on one of the benches in Junon near the path leading from the gate to storage.  But Jazz can probably tell you anywhere else she liked.  Hey we should add her name "KatBuffs" to the bench!  That is what I did for my husband when he died, I had a plaque installed on a bench in his favorite park in Tucson.

I wish her and her family the best. It is never easy to hear about or know someone who passed. I didn't know her, but my deepest condolences to her family.

 

I honestly think the name on the bench in Junon idea would be a great honor to a valued and veteran Rose player.

My condolences to her family. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting her but from what I'm reading here, she sounds like a wonderful person and a great Rose player.

 

Losing someone is always difficult but I hope you take strength from the loving comments posted here. She touched many people and her memory will live on in their hearts.
