Chaos: Clock Tower Nightmare & Wave Mode Instance

Bug Report Thread

 

 
Clock Tower Nightmare & Wave Mode instance are currently implemented on iRO Chaos. In this thread please report any bugs or findings you have encountered while checking out the update. Citations from kRO are preferred when reporting bugs.

 

Notice: Some bugs encountered might have already been reported in the 175/60 bug thread, so kindly make sure you do not report the same.
Warning Any troll and none constructive posts will be removed without notice.
 

Clock Tower Nightmare Mode:

  • Clock Tower Nightmare Mode requires a minimum level of 150 and some fee.
  • Can be accessed through an NPC just outside the portal to clock tower floor 2.

Wave Mode Instance:

  • Wave Mode Instance requires a minimum level of ???
  • Can be accessed through an NPC found at south Prontera town a little below the Mail Box. Also can be found at Payon town.

Bugs & Findings:

  • Big Bell monster spawn rate seems low compared to the map size. (request to increase spawn rate). (Spawn rate was slightly increased, please provide feedback)
  • Wave mode instance after wave #70 the monsters wave resets back to Porings. No MVPs are present. (intended or bug?) (from this post the wave resetting after #70 is intended, still need confirmation).
  • Wave mode instance mobs (champions) drop their own type of loot. (intended or bug?)
  • [FIXED] New items dropped by Nightmare Clock tower monsters missing their client data. (a patch was released to correct the unknown items)

  • Hunter class traps are missing their visual appearance in Wave mode instance yet they still work. This seems to occur when placed over the bridge.

NPC to enter wave mode instance cannot be located.
is it not in-game?

Clock tower nightmare cards are not in yet.

#1. Wave dungeon "Champion" mobs are only monsters that drop their items(Not sure if this is supposed to be the case)

#2. Wave dungeon rounds reset back to poring at number 70(No Actual MVP's like jRO or kRO)

#3. No actual MVP's are in the dungeon.(Self explanatory)

 

PS.) For those looking for the NPC to warp you into wave dungeon they can be found near the bottom center prontera kafra.

stayed till the timer ran out (wave 149).

after wave 70 i got the same monsters from wave 1, but sometimes different champions every 5 floors after.
only monster champions give exp/drop, regular ones do not.
traps are not visible, but they work.

Nightmare Clock Tower

i got one apple (unidentified item) drop from Big Bell. and when i use it, it cast 'Cursed Fate' to myself. i dont even kno what is that.
Not a bug actually, just advice.
The spawn of big bell is too low. Please increase the spawn, triple is good just like bio4. If you can make bio4 has permanent triple spawn, i think we can do this on this clock tower also. Addition of bounty board is also good to make it feasible. Right now to be honest, Luina is still faster than clock tower, especially with Angra Mantis bounty.

WAVE MODE
when i put some traps on the bridge, at some area the trap sprite is missing but it is still there (i can detonate it and it gives damage when monsters step on it). i think it is on the area of line when the mobs walk.

what's the spawn like? because divine-pride has 110 for nightmare CT, and I never encountered spawn issues on regular CT with only 80 alarms on the map...Oda also mentioned that they don't have spawn data on the new dungeon so I guess first thing would be to try to secure that and compare.

Is actually fine the normal spawn in Nightmare clock tower? because i feel are very low compare with some kro videos...

Please increase spawn in Clock Tower. this is the best place for leveling now. 

 

btw I got an unknown item from Time keeper. What is that thing?

As Zayaan reported with that list, none of the new drops from the clock tower mobs have client info... just like the Gigantic Lance since biolab instance update, shows up as unknown item.

i found something weird about exp on clock tower nightmare, sometimes Big bell give me 76k job exp with BM X3 (Actually im job 58) and every 3 or 4 big bells the next give me 79k job exp, so i thinking "maybe someone hit then before me, so i wait for a new big bell" so the new big bell respawn i kill him and the exp give to me is still 76k, but sometimes some big bells give to me 79k job exp. now, im not sure about exp formula and maybe this is nothing to do with the new dungeon, but, Big Bell actually without BMX3 gives 30k (30,446) and with BM X3 just 76K (76,115), why? must be 91k (91,338) right?

 

and i found a apple item from big bell O.o

the exp modifiers are additive, so it would be 2x (normal vip and vip event) + 3x (from bmx3) for a total of 500% increase. without the vip event, it would be 450% or 4.5x exp. figuring out exp modifiers is pretty straightforward, since you can immediately check expected vs. calculated figures vs. trying to calculate drop percentages when adding various modifications.

Clock Tower Nightmare mode spawn rate was increased as of 13th of May maintenance.
Please provide feedback about the change.
