Afternoon all,

So my SN feels pretty weak, standing at 72. Figured I'd  take advantage and pick him back up to jump to 99.

I'm trying to acquire a Star Dust Blade for him, cheap enough to just have regardless.

As for gear, I'm running around in the Angel's set for now.

Is there anything else I can invest in? I've seen SNs annihilate enemies, but I don't really have a clue as to how they do so.

So yeah, thanks for taking the time to read and assist.

Edit: Whoops forgot to mention, I'm a melee SN.

Edit Edit: We could assume SL buff as well. Makes things a bit more confusing too o3o;

Generally speaking, SN requires a very high amount of investment to be (somewhat) competitive with other jobs. While the Angel's set and a Star Dust Blade is fine for a beginner, you cannot expect to deal any noticable damage with them.  :wah:

Supernovice is a "Challenge" class for people who are bored with main classes and need a challenge. They're like the "nightmare mode" run on a game you've already beat on "normal". So if you aren't wealthy and skilled, this is probably not the class for you, unless you're just derping around and have no plans to be fearsome at all.

~ ASPD novice ~

Best Weapon is pretty much a +12 Glorious Morningstar. One of the best ATK-power a SN can equip, and +10% aspd.

Best Headgear - Ascendant Crown

Best Garment - FAW

Best Shield - Immune Shield or Supernovice Shield

Best Armor - Brynhilldr

Best Shoes - Advanced Angel's Reincarnation [1]

Best Accessory - Bakanowa Agimat Tattoo (maybe)

Thanks for the info! I'm currently running a +9 HPB, would that suffice instead of a FAW in anyway?

Yeah, I know they're difficult and impractical and everything like that.

Thing is, I like them...a lot x-x I haven't found a class I enjoy more than my SN. The idea behind them, the way they play, hell even how they look appeals to me so much more than almost every other class, bar Gene.

So, I'll work towards making mine at least worth something.

I know this will raise Jaye's hackles, but you can get 99/99 SN via janeway currently. just tax yourself prior to turning in kapha kill quest.

No worries about Janeway, I leveled most of my way to 99 and -did- use her for the last leap, but I did it incorrectly so I'm sitting at 99/83.

Because I'm dumb.

I'd just make a new one, it's not like the janeway event takes a long time :P

Ehh, I'd rather not jump a SN anymore than what I did.

Besides, most of me feels like starting one up on Classic. Something tells me they're a tad more...viable there >X>

I once saw an SN KSing us when we hunt Eddga. :heh: He was using an axe-type weapon. This was last November or December (on a different official server though) We arrived there first, me and an LK. The LK was really well-equipped and even have an MVP-carded equip. But the SN out-DPS'd him even though we arrive minutes earlier. So I believe SN's would be a useful character too if it's well-geared.

Its not a kill steal on an MVP. Its competition.
