Only one question I find interesting, why can't kRO send fixes ASAP for broken skills or specific mechanics that have been changed for improvement to us, when it's not related to new episode content? It feels like they make us wait untill a god-knows-when future update not related to the content that needs to be fixed here and they already have fixed for ages.

 

We've been able to start getting fixes sooner but a lot of mechanical changes need updated versions of the game's exe in order to work at all, so it would throw things out of whack not to receive those more elaborate changes in rough order of implementation on kRO.

Can you...

 

A ) fix any and all pet system issues

B ) flesh out the worlds more, maybe do a little lore here and there for US to flesh it out a little more

C ) find the cause and fix the duping issue (worse than the bots)

D ) focus more time on more thought provoking items rather than just rushing out new and useless ones that are outshadowed

E-1 ) revamp MVP drop tables to reflect a more bountiful hunt

E-2 ) make certain equipments vendor for more than 10z, as there are plenty of useless equipments that drop and are better off dropped on the ground than sold (see point D)

Questions:

 

1. In Wave Mode dungeon, why monster wave loops for every 70 waves? Example, once you reach wave 71 or 141, it will have the same monster wave as wave 1.

    I never saw any tower defense games that loops their monster waves unless they increased the difficulty. How about implementing a 'Challenge Mode' of wave dungeon where monster have certain passive/active buffs/debuffs to make this instance challenging. Isn't wave mode dungeon supposed to have a final reward upon reaching a certain wave as well as cooldown for repeating this instance.

2. According to http://ragnarok.wiki...ted_RO_Features, why did you remove/ not implement such features that might have enhanced the gameplay?

3. In Hazy Forest Instance, why Wandering Dragon can be affected by any status effects although its an MVP type monster? Wandering Dragon is the only MVP monster that can be affected by any status effects such as stun, silence, etc.

4. Do you have any plans of upgrading you game engine into 64-bits in which the majority of new operating systems have now as well as increase the zeny cap into [(2^64)-1] zeny? 

5. In Clock Tower Challenge dungeon, why didn't you add the 4th floor  as the original dungeon has 4 floors?

Are they working on fixes for exploits such as nodelay?

 

Have the renewal changes to RO been as successful as hoped? Why did they feel that such a large overhaul of the game was necessary?

 

Would kRO ever consider developing further content for official pre-renewal servers, seeing as they are so popular as pirate servers?

 

Will the RO interface be modernized?

8. Do you have any plans to modernize RO to better compete with other MMORPGs on the market? Many MMORPGs nowadays allow players to level up by doing different MMORPG activities like crafting, harvesting materials, fishing and other minigames, etc. RO is behind the times in restricting EXP earnings to only monster kills and quests and players are getting bored of it. Do you have any intention to further enrich the RO experience and better retain players?.

 

I second this and to add maybe:

Do you have any plans to make better way for economy activities? RO2 already get a proper auction and increasing price limit (vending limit), updated crafting (BS and Alchemist), and improved UI that I'm sure those features in RO1 will work as well...

 

We don't need talk about non-Gravity MMOs, even RO2 attract me to play and get a bit addicted with their leveling and economy systems..

i think it happens around 5 PM server time. if you're in game they generally make an announcement too.

I'm slightly disappointed that some answers were...rather vague and general, at least they looked to me that way, I hoped to hear something more specific. And yeah, you should use mics for every person, it's difficult to follow the interview unless you're concentrated on it (low quality of sound). Otherwise, it was nice to watch   :)

Yeah, I appreciated the Q&A. I think the most interesting part of the whole thing was that kRO devs wanted to reach out more, though I'm skeptical on whether they'll deliver on that promise; after all, they've had over a decade to do so and this is honestly the first time I can think of where we actually got to interact with them in some fashion.

This is kind of the first time they've done something like this so I understand them wanting to keep it a bit more general. I think for subsequent interviews or communication opportunities we will be able to get more specific.

 

A lot of the questions were something that we're already talking with them behind the scenes about, or that would have been more technical issues that would be difficult to get translated, discussed and answered within the limited time they had available here. 

 

I hope you guys found it interesting, it's something that I thought about asking on a whim so I'm glad that it seems to have come out pretty well.

I too felt the answers were vague, but I don't agree with you oda about it being shyness to the process.

It was politician-like; they don't want to say anything they can be held to. I don't blame them, but like politics it is disheartening.
