There is still errors with the data transfer, you don't open up something that isn't working properly and make more problems for yourself. Both servers have major differences, hence why there are kRO people at their office now helping assist with the migration.

Not sure if it's just because of the testing, but were the novices we created in pRO not brought over to iRO Thor? That's sad... people wanted to use the character slots for more characters... and more VIP.

Psh. That sucks. What if people really wanted to level those novices up? We can no longer create on those extra character slots. Ohwell. Good thing I'm settled here on Chaos so I don't really mind that much anymore. But if I wasn't, I'd be frustrated.

i thought it was to prevent the stealing of names and such
Makes sense. Some people want to use it to change their crappy names though. It's an easy fix. But yea, I guess more name change requests = more WP.
Too bad about those extra character slots going to waste though.

Sorry, off topic: My storage NL storage was located on the Iris one. Should I post that on the Thor testing thread?

i know a lot of name changes were made available for free during previous server merges. i have several chars with the "_server" suffix that i can ticket in for a name change whenever i feel like it. I've just been lazy. odds are you'll see something similar on thor since you'll probably get a bunch of naming conflicts with 4+ servers worth of chars all being moved into one spot.
In pRO, the name change was self-service (you can right-click on the character and there'll be a name change option) as long as you have a merge-caused suffix on your name. Now the bad thing is, there are still some characters that have those suffixes from previous pRO merges, and I'm not sure if iRO will take that into account.

it's supposed to be self-service on iRO too; it's just that i hadn't played my chars since the chaos/loki/iris days so when i came back i could only self-service one character; the rest i had to ticket in (but would be free).
