I am thinking of throwing a Event once both servers are united as 1. Would that be something the Rose community would like? If so what kind of prizes/games would you like to partake in?

Hmm I always enjoyed the PvP/Costume event between xmas and sylvester so imma list it:

 

-1on1/2on2/3on3/4on4 event

 

-King of the Hill

 

-Costume Event (Ugliest set - Cutest - certain themes like as example: best Pirate)

 

-As filler hide and seek or catch me if you can mini games

 

-Car/Mount races

 

-Dance battle

 

-"Don't steal my buffs" match (all start fully buffed in a certain area and some mages/knights try to debuff till all are unbuffed - last one buffed wins - no stealth!)

 

All focused around our beloved TG...

 

 

Would actually be a cool idea to bring the (PvP) community of both Servers together...keep it going if u need help pm meh

 

Just keep it simple - If I remember the last PvP event from Shaz....was a total desaster...I was always more a fan of the customer-held event...the only real support you might need from Warpportal side might be a pinned post on forums.

 

Don't forget to announce it early enaugh (like at least 2 weeks before it starts) including the time it happens (including all timezones) and really on one area (TG would fit well since its central and you can punish trolls which disturb)

What about prizes?

For prizes you can talk to Leo once you have a plan and see if they will donate any for the cause.  Or typically you hit up friends, clannies, etc. and ask for prize donations.

 

The simpler the better.  With so many online it gets so confusing if you have a lot of details to the event.  A number of small events done one after the other is usually best.  For example costume contest (3 categories), followed by dance off, followed by TG PVP event (clan vs clan or teams vs teams) with the clans or teams set up in advance and enough referees around for fairness.  Things like that. 

 

Other suggestions (Matt had some great ideas):

Rose Trivia

A map quest kind of thing with fetch items to get (for example bring me back 2 of something) Problem is that people just go to their storage.

A race to a certain spot (have another person standing at the spot and you announce in Junon clues)

Massive free for all in TG or CF, except for referees, as Matt said kind of a king of the hill

Clan Field clan wars - last clan standing wins

 

Anyway you do it you will need help.  My clan would be happy to help as we can.  But if we help it would have to include a naked march from Junon through DOD.

I don't know if Draco ever did this, but I knew it was done a few times on Leonis and it always brought new people together. Simply, have a parade! At some random point in your event call for a parade like this "PARADE STARTING AT THE JUNON GATES IN 5MINUTES.....COME GET IN LINE!" and sometimes its a hit and tons of people show up and sometimes it is not. I bet if you did this on the day of the merge, you may get a really awesome response, then when you start the parade everyone turns walk mode on and follows the leader and creates a huge line/parade as the leader walks around JUNON.

One of the best community events I was able to be apart of was one where the community rioted because we were supposed to get Grade 7 gems on Birth Island so instead we took it to the world and created a parade in which we walked through all the maps and all got slaughtered at the Desert of Dead to high level players waiting for us level 10 noobies to come and take the bait.

When the servers went F2P our clan hosted a march from AP to Junon which included a stint around DOD.  We always march through DOD naked.  Then a big dance party in Junon.  It was a fun way to celebrate.

When it comes to accepting donations for the event would you mind being in charge of it? Taking names & recieving items Mom? It would not be a good idea for me to recieve because I have so many enemies in game on Leonis  >snip<

an event that all players can participate no matter what level, gears they have...definitely not on a hostile venue...most of the players don't visit forums so you need to announce it in-game i would suggest games such as;

 

1. trivia

2. cart race - (using wooden cart 1st engine-dolphin island maybe)

3. best roseonline jokes (pick 5 winners though)

First come up with the Idea that you are going to do.  Figure out what it is and describe it.  Then people might be more willing to donate.  also, if you are putting on an event then get people to help and I am sure that people will donate to you.  Even if you have haters, you are doing a community event.  I am sure people can look past the other crap.  But I can certainly help out as I can.

If I would be you I would wait for the merge first, then gather some creative people like

 

angeltje / buffies for the costume event

 

Feuer for the trivia (he s a Lore addict)

 

etc..

 

then work out some rules (example: no boosters/aruas in the 1on1....4on4, but ffa in king of the hill tg) and a nice plan for the day...when will what happen (don't forget the different timezones here) - what minievents can you hold as filler between the big happenings, etc...

 

in the end find someone for creative work - set up a nice thread - let mods pin it...

 

since the merge is planned on 5th may and the first week tends to be chaotic i guess May 16th might be a good date...

 

about donations - if you worked out a little schedule with your little helpers you might setup a thread (which should get pinned too) + contact some "big fishes" (DexBow, Maldini, Chen, Leena, MidnightSmurf etc.) if they want to support it (stuff like listing donators in your event post credit works wonders)....

Okay let me do this then, I need people to sign up to this post & help me host all these big and mini games. Looking for people to help me with this event, Trivia( Must have vast Knowledge of Rose) HideNSeek(Must be fast) Someone to offer Cleric/Stat buffs for PVP Events, Costume Event, Rose comedian(Must be Kevin hart funny jk) Cart racing Stock wooden carts only) Map quest Fetching said items, Last Clan standing, Miss priced product placement 1z only, King of TG , Free for all in tg, Someone to run damage control in pvp areas to shut the trolls down, Dont steal my buffs/Last buffed Need knights and mages to sign up to help. I will continue to add please bear with me I have had the flu, If anyone wants to help me out with structure of this post please talk to me in game. Also rules& regulations will come out with each event as soon as each spot is filled. Also if anymore game idea's please share with me.
