I just saw an AB on mid TI with really awesome defense earlier/last night. All of us receive hundreds of damage, even our tank RK. But the AB only receives 50-70 damage from both AKs and Ancient Mimics, so he later took over the RK's role. I wanna know how to obtain such defense. Is it possible for an Adoramus/ME AB too?

It is the mental-strength skill you get to use from MVP card.

It is from bio4 sura MVP.

Just stack neutral resistance gears, my baby mech gets 1 damage from all neutral attacks.

My ab does this too. 750+ def with assumptio and 60%+ neutral reduction.

deviling card on +9 HBP, 90 vit, abys knight helm, thara frog or hodremlin shield, 3D glasses, temp boots with muscle fool enchant (-50% atk matk doesnt affect heal), assumptio/angelus

Thanks for all the answers. ^^ I don't remember seeing that AB with assumptio and I also cast Prefaetio often so that would be cancelled anyway. I didn't see him cast Mental Strength too.

Let me try stacking neutral resist then on my AB. Deviling card is out of my zeny-range at the moment. It would be easier to support when you don't have to worry healing yourself.

The 750 DEF trick is largely accomplished by Valk shield and Brynhilldr. If you can't afford a DR you probably don't have a Brynhilldr I am guessing.

Yup, I don't have Bryn. Maybe someday. DR would take me 1 week of hardwork to buy. I'm focusing all my zenies on my RG at the moment and once it has decent equip, then I'll gear up my Gene and AB.

If you won't mind, can you share your your full equip? That's an FS AB, right?

overupped e.bone armor with comodo card is an option, but it has 450 weight.

 Tidung[1] is also an option.

I'm pretty sure I went over what gears for an AB to get 100 neutral resistance in one of the other topics in this aco section before.......Every AB should be seriously trying to gear this way when using healing gears are out of the question because the place they are going to is downright OHKO nightmares........

I might get the +9 versions of those when my zeny-focus is shift to my AB. Just the +9s and without the Bryn.

That armor sure is heavy. I guess I'll just reduce my gemstones if that's what I'll use. That seems cheap too.

I will have to get some heal increase stuff too since my High Heal is only level 1, or switch to FS at the meantime then just reset at a later level. The second set of items are somehow more appealing to me.

Parasite Card               5%

3D Glasses                  5%

                                    = 90% Reduction

Ghostring                    70% Neutral damage

(90/100) x 70               = 63% Reduction

 

70 - 63                         = 7% Neutral Damage recieved

 

As you can see, the only real loss in heal power is from replacing healing headgears for the palace guard cap, but you still at least get the mid slot for your AA/WL cards. I have my Ghostring in a Diab Robe, not the most defensive gear I agree but I wasn't gonna wait for Valk Armors to show up in the market for cheaper at the time I slotted it in. Your accessory slots and shoe slots are still free for whatever floats your boat.

 

You would then combine this kind of gear setting with Silentium at Bio4(Provided your higher level than the mobs) and good times roll for you!

= 98% Reduction

With Marionette pet effect, it'd be 127% reduction.

You are right about the Ghostring card, I forgot about that completely and added it in for no utter reason.

 

I stand correct for the Parasite card, in-game it does reduce neutral damage, not formless like the iWstat Calculator states........Jaye needs to do something about that.......

 

Does Tidung monster order resistance factor in with elemental resistances? I thought they are seperate reductions and therefore only stack multiplicatively in the equation, can anyone confirm with me if they are stacked additionally with elementals?

3d glasses reduce damage from neutral element attacks. Parasite card reduces damage from formless race.

 

 

3d glasses: AddAttrTolerace PROPERTY_Nothing 5
tatacho card: SubDamage_Property User PROPERTY_Nothing 20
parasite card: AddRaceTolerace RACE_Nothing 5

For comparison:

raydric card: AddAttrTolerace PROPERTY_Nothing 20
aqua elemental card: SubDamage_Property User PROPERTY_Water 20
penomena card: AddRaceTolerace RACE_Nothing 30

Tidung gives 5% resistance to all elements (not races).

I thought GR reduce any damage except ghost property attacks. Thanks for that info. Let me save this post as PDF for reference. ABs with such defense and resistance are really cool. I can no longer play mine with confidence after seeing an AB like that
