Confused. Build for ignition break + bb .

Pretty sure you can't BB with 2h so..

JUST OPINIONS PLEASE which 1 to get

Also, do you upgrade variant shoes at all or only if you can get +9 for firelock card or sumthing?

FOR INSTANCE, if you get +4, not worth?

the twin edge is better because it lets you wear a shield, which is pretty important when mob leveling. it's also fire property which increases ignition break base damage.

don't upgrade regular variant shoes, it's the slotted (enhanced) variants that people upgrade to +9 and card with a firelock soldier card.

So... Ditch the violet fear and start buying shields with 30% reduction eh...

What would you suggest to put in the 1 handed naght weapon? I bought a sword guardian card so I guess I'll put that. Not sure what to put for the other 2 slots.

^ IF you answer this ID BE SO HAPPY

EDIT: To make clear what I would LOVE to be answered

1. Ditch violet fear?

2. If so, put sword guardian card in naght 1 handed weapon? What else should I put in it? (going for ignition break/bowling bash build for leveling, will change to breathe later on, thats a while way though).

Yes, ditch Violet Fear. Violet Fear is more for an auto attack centric build.

Sword Guardian cards are fine, although if you find you don't need the extra damage you may prefer three Hunter Fly cards to help with sustain.

Oh don't you worry I am the priest my girlfriend is the one playing the knight so she won't be needing the sustain, as she has a rideword hat as well.

I also wonder if the weapon would sell good even with 3 sword guardian cards (aka cant vend have to wait for someone to buy it). Been reading that this flame breathe build is better for end game (150-175) for pvm but unsure... Any thoughts or no?

EDIT: Also I am guessing you are suggesting even 3 hunter fly cards and 0 sword guardian due to the fact ignition break does more damage  than bowling bash and bowling is just to "finish" up the mobs.

hmmmm.... Maybe 1 sword and 2 hunter then... Unsure... HMHMHMHMHMH.... only cuz a lot of mobs we fight always live with 1-20% hp with just 1 bowling.

I would go with red twin and triple hunter fly for survivability which is much needed when mobbing at higher levels

Oh my what a fast response. Maybe I'll just sell the card as I bought it for pretty cheap so I'd make some decent money out of it.

Perhaps I'll do that then...

Unsure if you saw the other things I added in, but dragon breathe is better end game pvm correct?

And all these guides I read on the build are always like "oh 1 hand quicken you need soul link" but that -_- seems so dumb as you can't have a soul linker with you at all times to do these "extra" things. Just mob and bash, and later on, mob and ignition break/bowling bash.

CORRECT?!!?

hmhmhmh

edit: also do you get agi up at all in bowling bash/ignition build? I think like 50?

When I was LK I bought a veteran sword and an SG card at one point but never used them and just ended up selling them. I used RTE with triple HF. BB was great when you are LK especially when you do ground and flying petite bounties but you shouldn't need SG card to one hit those monsters. When you become RK, you would still be using BB initially for a while, until you get 23 job levels to max IB (as quickly as you can via eden gramp + eden bounty + eden group + VIP + goggle costume + job manual + battle manual x 3). IB then becomes your dominant skill and BB becomes a "finishing move" as needed that you can combine with IB. When using BB it's hard to move out of the gutter lines when you realize you are in one and getting mobbed at same time so I find annoying to use. Just my experience though. Others probably have different gameplay.

if you're going hunter fly, go for 3x hunter fly because of the way they stack (3 is far more effective than 2).

dragon breath is the best endgame build for rune knights, but it's not worth going for it early because it requires a decent hp/sp pool (and thus a high base level) to work well

some agi is a staple for all builds, but it's also more of an endgame thing (feel free to leave it at 1-20 for now). focus on getting the key stats for your build high first.

As I described over here, Ignition Break carries the element of your weapon. Unless you have a ton of converters or alternative weapons, using an RTE as your primary weapon will result in the same problem DB RKs face which is they can't fight fire-resistant targets (unless they have water DB, but I digress).

If you have no alternative weapons or a ton of converters/endow slave, I strongly advise not grabbing RTE first and instead use a weapon which has no element for general purpose use. You can get an RTE and specialize later.

Bowling Bash can also be cast with 2H swords (with any weapon or even barehanded in fact) and the use of 2H swords for mobbing isn't anything bad. I BB+IB all the time using my Veteran Sword and I rarely have a want for a shield. The only time you will need a shield is when you're purposely tanking an MVP or high-end hard-hitting mob for someone else to kill.

You can also use one handed spears, as you can wear a shield with those too. Hunting Spear and Long Horn (natural holy element, useful) are pretty nice and cheap too. Even a +4 will deal similar damage to a RTE since their ATK is close. Spears also have a better size modifier when dragon mounted (100% to all sizes). Actually because of the size modifiers, two handed swords have about the same damage as one handed weapons on medium because they only do 75% to medium. They become only good for large sized monsters, but actually Huricane Fury and other axes beat them on large too. Then all you would need to consider are number of card slots and other non-ATK related factors.

Starting to get out of scope but Mjolnir is great of course. Glorious Weapons are also very strong on demihuman targets.
