I've been levelling my homunculus a lot lately and have been wondering where's the basic etiquette from a lot of other players?

I operate under certain rules in the game because, despite the fact that it's a game there are real people involved. I never ks on purpose and will apologise when it's an accident. I never afk too close to another person levelling their homunculus and really try to stay in my own space as much as possible. I try to treat other players with respect.

I've had a lot of bad experiences in RO, and a lot of those specifically while levelling my homunculus. I never properly afk, I always have my laptop on my lap while my homunculus is killing stuff so I can keep an eye on it, and this allows me to see a lot of what's going on. People will camp literally on top of me, coming in after I did with their homunculus s and killing everything. I'm still a biochem and I currently have a 97 filir so no aoe. The other day I was in OD2 and someone stopped right next to me and went afk and of course their dieter went ahead and killed everything. The guy came back a while after I politely asked him to move and said he was there first, which of course, he wasn't, as I don't steal other peoples' spots.

Right now I'm in Ant Hell for some easy levelling while I do other stuff. Not even five minutes after I got there a gene decides to camp next to me. This was fine for a while as my filir is faster and was killing most of the stuff. The gene then decided to resummon their homunculus after cart boosting so it's much faster and well, you can guess what happened.

So yeah, I ask where is the etiquette? Just a basic set of rules that will make everything much nicer for everyone involved. Why does internet anonymity cause everyone to behave like idiots?

Sorry, rant over, just needed to vent some frustrations!

Indeed you're bound to find idiots that take advantage of the anonimity of the internet, but you have to move on.

The good thing is that since you aren't completely AFK you can check on your Homun and you can move to a better spot. (I would suggest not putting your laptop in your lap, as the fuzz from your clothes can block the fan, not to mention it heats faster)

Currently leveling my Amistr-based Sera (no AoE yet) and is frustrating when another Gen with their Homun S comes and starts AoE'ing everything. I check every hour and if the EXP % doesn't seem enough or someone is too close to me, I move to another spot.

I guess it is the circle of iRO life - They KS and I rant, I KS and get ranted at. I'm currently having the same issues and I've probably reacted in every way possible. Yet something tells me that one day when my sweethearts hit homu S I will be among the largest of arseholes. I just have that feeling.

To the retards that KS/ use aoe on attack mode when you have an AOE skill, you're just pissing off people and getting lower exp per hour. You're better off leaving it at idle. I reported someone, want to take bets what happens. 10:1 odds on them doing something.

Homunculus has never changed and will never will be changed, kRO could give two bigger cow pies.

In practice, OD2 is pretty much FFA :-/

To be fair - it's nowhere near as bad as if they behaved that way on a map that people leveled characters on, because in OD2, you're semiAFK or fully AFK all the time. It's not like you're wasting someone's actual screentime. Most of the people probably don't even know that they're being obnoxious, nor how to fix it. The previous versions of my AI had it defaulting to attack instead of idle... and the new version has significantly fewer movement issues - but people who don't know how to change settings are still using the old versions. It's amazing (to me) how many people are not comfortable updating their AI, or even with the concept of files and folders.
