i have a paladin, lvl 95, i use a crescent scythe +7, with anoue card, fighting spirit 4,5. with morrigane set (all +7), all of this for leveling purposes.

 

as royal guard job advancement is near, i was wondering if i should keep those equips, or change to something new?

 

maybe selling the crescent scythe (dont know price)?

 

i would like to use banishing point build, also, how should i use my remaining job points? right now i have quicken spear lvl 10, and sacrifice lvl 3, having 1 unused job point at job lvl 65

hello, max your paladin job 70 and add cure, defensive aura for you paladin job skill. 

Your weopon is good or you could use hunting spear fs or ea. Later you should get valk armor or glorious suit. 

Having various types of weopon and armor is good. Goodluck!

I recommend you look at the RG irowiki page and the stickied threads here for a general idea on RG builds and equips.

Basically you'll want to go with Overbrand as your main leveling skill. You can't expect to get any EXP from single target killing anymore and you must rely on AOE. Otherwise, just find a way to get yourself into a gramps party.

I will suggest you take a look at Haryoh's Guide to RG, it has very detailed intruduction on the stats build, skill build and gears for different types of RG. I use this guide when I was newbee and find extremely helpful. Also I will suggest you go through all RG skills on irowiki so that you are familiar with them.

 

It will also be helpful if you can tell us what kind of RG you want to be. Gears and Skill builds for PVM and WOE RG can be different.

 

Based on your current gears, I see you are building an agi-crit Paladin. However you are not investing Luk at all, so it looks weird to me. I would say before you max out Overbrand, stick to this set of gears and build. Agi-crit is a viable leveling method for RG before you get to Overbrand.

 

So no matter what kind of RG you choose to be, Overbrand is a must as it is your main leveling aoe. So after you change job to RG, put all your exp into job if you are VIP. Max out Overbrand is your first priority. The other skill you definitely need to have is Shield Spell Level 1. You want the atk buff, which gives you the same attack as your shield Def.

 

I think the best weapon for Overbrand is Hunting Spear. Cheap and have high attack. Best Shield for Shield Spell 1 is Rosa. Cheap, High Def and Lighter. I will suggest get a couple of Hungting Spear and Rosa Shield and card them with different racial damage increase/reduction cards for leveling purpose.

 

You skill build for Pal is good. There's no waste skill. The other skill you defintely want to get is Defending Aura. Excellent skill against range attack.

 

Everything above are quite general for all kinds of RG. Others depends on what you want to do

i dont think theres any cards that make shield unbreakable

thanks for the reply, i have not invested in LUK because i dot a lot of criticals, i would say a 80% with not even having any points of luk.

 

with my remaining paladin job points i can reach lvl 4 defending aura, is this ok?

 

also, should i need battle chant? cure?, i have lvl 3 sacrifice, is it enough?

 

i want my future rg, to be flexible, that can help in woe and also for MVP or PVP

 

i love the BP skill.

Flexible in WoE / PVP / MVP also means weak in all of the above.

Actually WoE RG is probably pretty much full support these days from what I know.

MVP would be full offensive but you can still afford to have crucial support skills (sacrifice, defending aura).

Leveling build is a little different but you can make it accommodate one of the two builds above.

I will highly suggest you max defensive aura. Sacrifice at level 3 should be fine. Only max out sacrifice and go Battle Chant/Cure if you want to do pure support RG.

 

If you like Vanishing Point, I will suggest you do MVP RG, as Vanishing Point is the major skill for RG MVPing. I think PVP RG use EB more but I am not sure. I never do PVP or WOE
