1. Will my item be safe from + 1 - + 4 USING ONLY elunium?

2. +4 - + 7, will it be safe using ENRICHED elu and WITHOUT safe certificates?Please enlighten me about enriched elu and its safe limits thanks

3.+ 7 - +9, is it only advisable to use HD elu? or will i still be able to use E.Elu?

Enriched and HD can only be used if your equipment is at least +7 safe refinement is +4 and without the enriched hammer event enriched can break your equipment

1-4 : elunium
4-7 : elu + safe cert
7-9 : better when enrich ores event appear

thank you all for your replies, btw im also new on these "shadow equipments", does safe certs, enric elu, hd elu work on them? and is it also safe up to + 4?

there is no 100% safe way to refine them its all about your luck

enriched ores can be used from +4 to +7 for all gear but it doesn't provide any break protection (failure = loss of equipment).

for shadow armors, upgrading to +4 is safe, but there is no break protection from +4 to +7 (certs cannot be used). after that, you can use hd ores (all the time) or enriched ores (enriched hammer) to get to +9.

Question again, sorry. If the HD elu/ori fails, is it POSSIBLE not to downgrade the equipment? Or is it just between + 1 or - 1? Thanks!

the only way to avoid downgrade is trough the use of safes, but they only work to refine from +4 to +7 and +9 to +10, HD ores are stated that in the case of failure your equipment downgrades by 1.

How does MRS Hammer work though? Can I use my Enriched Eluniums on her upgrades? What benefits do I get from upgrading in this NPC?

You can use Enriched Ores (Enriched Elu/Ori) when refining to Mrs Hammer without paying any zeny.

did they take MRS Hammer out of thor? if so then yes, no point using enriched ores if you don't want to risk breaking your equips.
