So I just reached Biochemist and was like "Maaan I have to do the homu boring quest meeh" So I opened the skill windows and randomly clicked on Bioethics and nothing happened as intended then I randomly clicked on Vaporize and this happened:

 

I also want to note how this is a Janeway character so I had almost no reason to add skill points before trans'ing except that Valkyrie won't trans me unless I spent all my skill points, so I remember while mashing random skills until 0/49 appear that I added some points into some of the Homu skills and they were added and I was like "Wow, didn't know Janeway does the skill quests for you too"

 

So is this intended behaviour? Waste a skill point or do a quest? Or is this a bug?

to get bioethics back you need to talk to either biochemist rep in front of valkyrie hall or the first npc in homunculus quest, i don't remember which one, but definitely one of those two.

Did it actually apply the skill point? I think it's a display bug most likely, with the client thinking it can put points into it (unless I'm mistaken, it's the only case in the game where a quest skill is a prereq for other skills)I'll bet  if you tried to do apply, it wouldn't work.

Well the thing is, before trans'ing I mashed skills to be able to trans and somehow I got points into the Homu skills and I believe Janeway doesn't auto-teach you quest skills, or does she?

 

I didn't try to "Apply" this time in fear I might break the quest or something and be unable to do it even if I reset skills and I didn't want to lose the point forever XD
