I recently started playing RO again, about a week ago. I hopped on Thor first because I assumed less people would mean more fun and a developing economy.

Now, I haven't played RO for 4-6 years (iRO closer to 10), but I played long enough to know something was up with those prices. After lurking the forums, I've come to find that there are MVP-Card dupes circulating the Thor server and that nobody is even TRYING to price things reasonably. The GM's seem to have a lack of staff, and there seems to be no fixes for any of this in the near future knowing how quickly iRO is to change. I was honestly surprised that renewal was even implemented lol.

I find all of the above to be unfortunate because most of the pRO players I've met are really cool, nice, willing to help, etc. Further, something that constantly draws me back to RO isn't the game but the communities that come with the teritory. Still, I am a gamer and I do enjoy the game and want it to be fair and fun.

So, returning to the title of the topic. Does Chaos have a lot of dupes circulating, or any at all? Does it get more attention from GMs, or have a better economy? An even better question, is the server located in the states? I get crazy latency periodically on Thor, and I never remember having this problem before on iRO servers. Finally, should I abandon my 99/50 characters on Thor and start anew on Chaos? To my knowledge I won't find levelling quite as easy there, as there isn't that izlude speedy leveling questline, from what I've read. Is rhat true?

I know these aren't all "Yes" or "No" questions, so any insight and opinions are appreciated. Thanks for reading! /no1

all servers are located in the states.

chaos has a more stabilized economy and a larger population. you can check prices on ragial.com to compare between the two servers.

GMs are still working on many residual problems related to the thor migration.

there is a classic server as well (loki). that contains the pre-renewal mechanics that you may be more familiar with, but that is a low pop server as well.

Janeway is available on thor and loki servers; it recently departed from chaos.

First, 99/50 isn't hard to level to. On the other side you'll need zeny and equips on higher level. So starting anew in Chaos is a good option.

Also, Chaos has rather stable and developed economy, you'll find the price there more reasonable and affordable.

I don't typically have all day to grind against porings and quests or I would agree that 99/50 isn't hard to level to. Nor a regular group of friends to play with. Then again, I'm used to pre-renewal mechanics so we are talking about entirely different exp pools here. Perhaps you're right.

from 70-150 renewal servers have Gramps TI which awards massive amounts of experience for completing his kill counts. there are also bounty boards throughout the world that you can pick up and complete alongside your normal grinding. BBs award zeny, exp, and if you complete all the quests for a board at once, eden merit badges too.

Chaos has a much larger community that plays around the clock, so that is something to consider if you're not playing in the pst-est time zones.  You should probably take a look at the guild recruitment section.    Finding a group of players that play in your time zone might help a lot.

yep, please play thor, you just need to buy items from kafra shop and sell it for millions to get you started

Your 99/50 is in Thor and Thor is a renewal server.

A 99/70 in renewal server can be done in within one week playing leisurely, with proper equipment of course.

That is why I suggest coming to Chaos, because 1. either server you will need zeny and equips 2. 99/50 is easy to level to. 3. Chaos has a more stable economy.

Which there was a large amount of duped items in thor as well...

 

Chaos has alot of players, getting into parties is easier.

this isnt thors fault tho, if only they managed to really stop people from migrating 30k stuff on kafra then eco woundnt be a problem

might not be thor's fault but it's still broken. raffler should help but it's still pretty terrible for a new person to start on that server.

also remember, people are still vending at really high prices because they're used to it. and also i think they want to try raffler still.

 

so it might still be a long time before thor's eco becomes a little bit stable.

 

i wonder how long it will last for people to still vend at high prices even without anyone buying them. unless there are still buyers??

 

for me, i'm still not buying anything at thor because i can't afford it.

well , as far as  i can observe , the prices are going down since some folks are desperate enough to sell stuff to go back to gambling . if not for white phoenix hat , i'd be grinding everyday to mora just to sell white wing sets @ 100mil that makes other sellers force to do roll back on their prices where they sell the same stuff @ 80mil per part
