So I am returning after being away for a few years and I was wondering a few things. First is are buff sets still a thing or were they patched? Another question I have is are battle artisans still worth playing and if so what gear is the best? Thanks

Buff sets is removed, it was a bug.

Why don't you go ahead and try playing a Battle Arti and see what you think? Best gear is relative as it depends on your build. Try talking with other BA's and see what you think. Feuer is a good player, and he has played various classes, he is a good person to talk to about such things.
