i know prot is prone to all damage. wall of meat in game. but i like prot a lot, apparently dont know how to build a good prot for tanking raids or pve, pvp. can any one post a build here regarding with a prot skill build and also DNA allocation. im looking for a build that can tank any raids and also can support heals in a party..

what about skin stone and survival instinct ? prot need def so they can tank any raids.
and how about equipment?. well tnx anyway about this.. but i need an explanation for those two skill.. why dont u have Skin stone and survival instinct.
Well lets see: "Skin of Stone" adds with DNA 1332 defense, "Survival Instinct" adds another: 918 with DNA so that`s a total off: +2250 Defense
(Skin of Stone adds only Short Range Def. no additional long range defense)
Both will cost you 20 Skill Points + 20 DNA Points.
You have a much better Buff that will cost only 10 Skill Points + 10 DNA AND includes the whole Party, thats Important for Bosses with AoE Attacks.
Yourself buffing : 2494 Def.
But your not alone on a Raid:
Radiant giving +1260 Def.
Mystic Totem +1656 Def.
Druid: + 1262 Def.
to name not all.
So even if your Gear is "only" around +15 you should have reached at least 4K Defense on your own without any other Buff coming from the Party. (speaking of Carus Gear here)
Including Buffs from the Party you will come close to Defense Cap pretty Easy.

Jewels 4 parts carus, 4 parts rare, all magic dmg, all CON
Trinity Shield full hearts
85 Omni Con sword titan light claws or 20-20 mHRs
scad 2 ball
enchants in jewels and ball are as follows - .6% blocks (made from fusing 2x lvl 5 skill armor enchants) until you have 100% block, then .7% event scc OR regals/insigs scc ofc
prots are skill spammers. don't ever run AA
you generate agro from heals + taunts + LB
ignore defense skills completely and put 1 point into the lvl 50 party defense buff.
both taunts maxed
LB maxed
onslaught maxed
block % and block dmg skills all maxed
end result = 100% block 4k+ heals 40k+ hp 80% resist all but CURSE/WIND 100% scc and a decent amount of scad
so this builds are for raids and pve. kinda confused for some abbreviation for me. its's kinda jargons on my side Lol .

and last one do i need to max the shield mastery?
yes. BLOCK is the most important aspect. anything that raise block % until 100% take it. ANYTHING that RAISE Block DEFENSE : you will never have enough
