Hello. I just wanna ask mercenary related questions:

 

1. Aside from the scrolls from Fire Sale NPC, where else could you get lv. 10 mercenary scroll- preferrably fencer scroll? 

 

2. Has anyone tried getting 500 loyalty points in the mercenary guilds? Does it really give you access to lv. 10 mercenary services? 

 

3. If no. 2 works, how can I level my mercenary to get those loyalty points?

Outside of the Kafra Shop, you get those scrolls in-game from the mercenary guilds.

I don't think there are many people interested in the effort required to get loyalty points. Mercenaries aren't very comparable to homunculi in terms of killing potential so they're not used often.

Mercs are in fact excellent for pre-third class leveling. Unfortunately, the fact that the level 10 mercenaries both require a high level of loyalty AND cost loyalty points to purchase makes it highly inefficient to obtain in-game.

However, if you are VIP, you do have access to free mercenaries every 3 hrs in eden. At level 80, you will unlock the highest free mercenary available, who is the level 8 version. Thierry has bowling bash as well, and while it's not level 10 like Wayne's, I've found it to be sufficient to get to 99.

And if you're not VIP or are interested in getting normal mercenaries then you can farm 300 Royalty Points, which will take time, but then you will have access to an infinite supply (for this character only and also they cost 63K zeny each) of Steven who is almost as good as Wayne with Bowling Bash lvl 8
