Mado Mechanic Queries

Hey there have a few queries 

 

1. Had a tough time with Bio parties. So just bringing up a few experiences. The party leader does the whole usual kick and re-invite mechanic to bring me down to the very bottom of the party list. Just to fix the group heal bug. Everything is fine up until it happens again. How is this possible? I am at the very bottom of the party list, yet it is still happening? Is this an issue when someone leaves the party or if the map changes? I know they can just kick and re-invite me again, but like seriously, it comes to a point where they threaten to kick me if I don't take the mado suit off. 

 

2. Totally separate query. Solo'd OGH for the first time, which I am really happy about :) My main concern is survival. Because once you die, you lose the mado suit and you immediately become useless in there. So the aim is to stay alive throughout the entire instance. My question is what is the best shield to use for monsters, not the mvp. 

I use Royal Valk shield and Hodremlin shield at the moment. But how are valk shields with Teddy Bear Card or are there any other cards you recommend? Also what are some useful potions/buffs to use in there? I use Holy C ball, Fire converters, Ygg Seeds, Fire and Earth Elemental Shift etc. 

 

3. Does Cooldown actually work? My understanding is that is reduces the overheat counter by a certain amount, 45 I think. Really hard to tell if it works or not.

 

4. Any cool updates with Mechanic class in KRO server that I should be excited about? I've heard mado overheat is fixed, anything else?

1. This is frustrating, as long as you're at the bottom of the list, it should work. This is very frustrating for ongoing parties. There's a few possibilities.

  • There's someone using GTB and doesn't take it off.
  • There's been people invited after you were moved to the bottom of the list.

     It sucks because Mado Mechs are good Randel debuffers and killers (Pile Bunker Skill can remove Defending Aura. Plus shadow Cannon balls with cursed waters.) The party bug hasn't worked right for a long time, it's just an ignored issue.

 

2. I haven't tried to solo OGH on my Mech in a long time. Grats to yoU! You're shields seem par for the course. If you plan on running OGH often, you can get some more specific shields. For the Raydaric part, a Cranial Shield works well. Not all monsters in there are weak to Holy, some are neutral. I usually keep a decent amount of each cannon ball type in my cart. Other than that, you seem to be alright.

 

3. Cool down works, I usually use the skill after about 4 or 5 mobs. If I think i'm taking to many hits, I'll use it. I usually make sure there's nothing attacking me when I use it to get the maximum 45. When we get the major mechanic update, it will reset your overheat to 0 instead of reducing it by 45. The only time I overheat is when I take too many Water Balls from Drake. Even Turtle General and White Lady's water ball don't make me overheat.

There's been no official word on when we will get the Mech update.

1) I believe it resets whenever someone leaves or enters the map. You have to be reinvited again every time. Yeah it sucks.

@johnnycakes i saw in one of your posts that you would test out 120 str vs 120 dex for mado. Which do you recommend? I use 120 dex atm and its pretty fast. Also a nice boost to knuckle boost damage.

1. you need to relog. you need to be the last person entered the dungeon to fix the bug. so if your partymate TI and come back to dungeon, you need to relog, so you are counted as the last one entered the dungeon. kicking and reinviting the mado also works since it also follow the 'last person in party to enter the dungeon', but too tedious. i 175ed my mecha by relogging over and over again.
2. teddy bear is fine since ALL monster there are undead race (except maggots). dont foeget WPH alarm mask to boost damage and cheap healing. all monsters except maggot and corruption root are weak to holy.
3. cooldown works. if u get overheat, just cooldown 10 times, it will remove overheat and resetting your mado heat counter.
4. every mecha knows that, just wait for verus update maybe next year.

I just reset today. I was messing around with it before work. I haven't tested it enough. I love the fast cast time. I lost about 70atk,but gained roughly 7% increase to ranged dmg. I'm only 150/51, I bet that as i lvl, the dex boots might scale batter. Almost all the Mado skills are increased by base lvl.

I like the spamability with 120 dex. I want to mess with it for a few more days.
