Hi guys, I'm rachel!

If you don't know, I'm the person who runs Fiolina and and RagnaStats. For over 4 years now, Fiolina has been sitting in Prontera, hapilly buffing the citizens of Rune Midgard under the condition that they say "please". But today, tragedy struck. I woke up to find all of my helper bots banned. Fiolina, the Arch Bishop, my soul linkers, my bard and dancer, and even my endow slave!

These characters are something like Player Created NPCs, anyone can come up to them and ask for buffs or even for a party. I don't do this for personal gain, I do it because some weird part of me thinks it's fun and nice to help others. I keep logs of all the buffing my characters do, and on average Fiolina is asked for heals and buffs over 1000 times a day from hundreds of different people.

I opened a support ticket and am waiting to hear back from the GMs, but if you like Fiolina you can come down to her spot (by the veggie dealer in Prontera) to show your support!

Buff bot tolerance policy was changed several months ago and was said on here and stream, if you are the owner it will be a block until you write in, then the accounts will be released with a warning. But to say there was no warning, there was.

Dear bot, i like your support towards the place.

But honestly it encourages players to do the same seeing as it has been protected for that long.

i hope GMs restore your characters, in one hand bots are illegal but nice bots that help hundreds of players everyday wouldn't be banned.

I remember hearing about that on the Tiki Tuesday stream, but the main thing they mentioned was the bots running in Izlude. Since new players would spawn in Izlude and see those characters right away, people would think that bots were allowed.

I specifically asked the guy running those to stop months ago, but he never listened to me. :(

Just write in and they will release them but the buff bot situation is kinda out of hand and there isn't a concrete definition of "buff" is hence the retraction.

I'm pretty okay with this. Bots that interact with players directly and influence gameplay on any level should not be condoned.

Data collection bots like those used in RS or Ragial though, which explicitly avoid interaction, I believe are fine.

Now, let us gather the evidence, whoever is guilty GUILTY! will be sentenced to dea-...errr, writing a sincere apology essay that will recant their legitimacy in the forums as a person of authority/contributor to the playerbase...er...I mean recant their prior statement as false...as demanded by the people and amended by the populace!

iRO Management, VMods, Inubashiri v. Ms. Rachel

Inubashiri, can you refer to the statement that explicitly states that the buff bot tolerance policy had a repeal or addendum, hm?

It would do well for all parties to remember that perjury is a grave crime tantamount to imprisonment question of legitimacy! LET THE TRIAL DEBATE BEGIN!

this game was okay without the buff bots before they come in. but suddenly now people like cant live without them.

i remembered when i made a thread about combating buff bots in izlude, then at some time the bots in izlude kinda inactive, then people on forum gone rampant and shouted to bring back them (they thought the bots are banned) and cursed whoever reported them. oh my...

 definition of "buff"

Cant they create a buff npc like the agi npc in izlude?

Rather than using a bot?

It's true that buff bots make new people interested in making bots themselves making them think that it was legal. Main problem here is that Fiolina didn't do it for self gain. For other players she isn't just a random bot. She was a sanctuary for safety and heals unlike the other characters that don't even respond when you ask for one. Fiolina never followed (in bot mode) an individual to help in leveling and such. She did it for everybody.

There was a reason why she was allowed to stay for a very long time. To other players, she was more of a help than a nuisance.

This is just a game and we might need all the "Help" we can get (Specially from Fio since even some of the strong people nowadays tend to ignore the new ones which I think is not "Eco friendly"), we may have different levels, different goals. Fio never chose who she buffed or who she doesn't (depending on the situation).

Nice appeal to emotion but there are plenty of wandering ABs out there just fine with giving a quick buff and heal to whoever asks politely. Entry into social interaction is one of the defining features of an MMO.

It's not that the bot team was a nuisance. It's that it pretty much explicitly infringed upon WP's terms.

It is also noted that omission is considered a criminal act, and therefore punishable.

I don't know where or on what server she came from (I could say that i'm actually new), the point I was making here is what I observe and see whenever I just sit around that specific spot. That she never followed a single person or help an individual level in a specific spot.

NPC could be explored, was talked about a few times.

Buff bots are definitely a case where more and more people were pointing at that and saying "why can't I do this too?" With the new server came a review of the stance on it just like the recent autopot issue. At the end of the day it's their servers and what they say goes.

Oda told me before they left for the holidays that if this issue came up to just say to write in and they would be released with the understand of no more automaton of "buffing", if you have questions I suggest you write the CMs.

Thank you for the information, I've opened a support ticket including the account names of all of my characters. I don't really see much reason to involve myself in this community anymore, you guys clearly don't want me here.

Edit: literally crying rn

The statement, Miss. We need the explicit statement. Can it be proven that this was stated accordingly to your claims? Remember that you are under the scrutiny of the court forums. As the witness, your relationship to the plaintiff can be considered as "a formal business alliance/volunteer", but do note that failure to adhere you will be guilty of omission, having a malicious forethought (mens rea), and therefore be convicted as an "accomplice" than a witness, as well as guilty for contempt.

We demand the statement!

Yeah, I consider fio one of those wandering AB's, whenever you hit that enter button stating you want a buff with "please" on top. And to be very honest I guess I recieved more "interactions" from her than most AB's.

I know of WP's terms, and I know I sound like I'm pushing a stand upon buff bots but no.

This is about Fiolina being a part of my novice days. When she proved she was more help than the other players.

Miss Inubashiri, please present said statement! The explicit proof that your claim is legitimate and not false. Otherwise you will be found guilty of omission!

Miss Rachel, please stand down until you are called to present your statement.

I just gave it to you near verbatim aside from verb tense changes to make sense in present time, sorry it's not a signed affidavit
