All right, get this, im playing this morning no problems, played yesterday no problems..... come home this after noon... BAM! This account cannot be accessed till 12-31-2020! OMGWTFSCSBF BS is this? This happen to any one else? I for hells sure do not bott nor scam or anything so this should NOT be happening.

I'd assume that it has to do with the siding problems of the servers randomly going down and leaving people unable to log in or enjoy the game in general. From the looks of things, after my hiatus coding for other games, iRO has gone downhill at such a phenomenal rate that it's not even entertaining to watch it crash and burn at this point. I've been scoping the forums for a few hours now and it seems like every issue linked to the inability to log in or general account issues such as this are handled with the same generic responses and that WarpPortal holds no responsibility for the poor service towards the players. I'm fairly certain that when I was 100% dedicated to iRO a good time ago there weren't too many severe issues like this, and if there were they were handled with swift and certain care.

Good job. Every networking unison that I've viewed where games have merged into a similar network (Warpportal for example) have steadily declined to the point where people get fed up and move on to something bigger and better. Sorry to say it but iRO has been dying for years and it looks like it's finally about to bleed completely out.

For your problem, I'd say submit a ticket and wait for several hours, or days, to get the response that they have no idea what happened or that you were part of a hostile action towards the gaming experience that they offer. Hope it works out for you. I'm going back to researching the issue and shaking my head for the time being.

The stupid... it burns.

1) The first pinned topic Heim has stated its an issue with the ISP, not the servers. It seems you're so hellbent on finding a reason to whine you ignored the obvious, in case you're to lazy... it can be found here

2) I've known 4 people recently with ban or other account issues. Yes it takes time, yes the ticketing system isn't perfect, but they do get around to addressing your issues.

3) Gravity, or at least Hiem and other mods have been reaching out to the community more than ever... for someone who reads the forums "every few hours" you sure are oblivious.

I'm not normally a gravity apologist (check my history) but your post is so full of "butt hurt" it makes me cringe.

Darshien If you haven't registered here, please do so and submit your issue. It may take some time given the recent changes to the game and other technical bugs... but they are pretty diligent about responses. I'd say give them 24-48 hours before resending another inquiry.

wtf i thought it was just me. i got the same proplbem.
i setted my black smith to vend and went to work, when i got back, my account was also banned until 2020. this is crap;
anyone know what to do?

I don't think the 2020 bans were related to the ISP problems...

2020 ban is usually something that can be lifted if you talk to the GMs.

2012 ban is the one that's usually a life sentence.

Contact the GMs by filling out a ticket at support.warpportal.com.

Ok so check me out. I'm one of the guys that experienced this. I just got my reply from warp portal

According to support, somebody accessed my account and tried to sell my zeny to another illegal account. I don't know how this happened. On another forum, somebody said something about DDos attacks. What are those? Can anybody explain? And I guess a few people just got recently banned that same day. What's going on? How'd this happen? Why'd it hit me?

Sounds like an outbreak of compromised accounts then. Good thing you got banned, so your stuff wouldn't get stolen. It looks like the pw hackers that forced the mass password reset are at it again . When they did the mass password change, you didn't by any chance change it back to your old PW did you?


The DDOS is a separate (though possibly related) issue - we've been under a DDOS attack from an unknown organization for some time (months, though the effectiveness has varied over time). The level of sophistication and persistence in the attack is notable, as they respond to blocking of the attack with changes to the attack - it looks like something beyond the scale of a disgruntled player. God i hope everything is still there zenny wise, because the day before i sold a bunch of stuff for zenny , it would piss me off if i lost zenny and gears . hopefully gravity is completly willing to help out the people who got screwed here. so far i have had NO contact back or anything. You can imagine my growing worry.

So it wasnt just me. I was banned a few days ago saying I can not log back in until 2012. I was pretty much like eff iRO after everything I have put into this game. I sent in a ticket same day and have gotten no response. So I hope this will be fixed sometime soon or I guess off to WoW or Cabal or something.

Well...I did change it back to my old password. It'd been nice if yall were a bit more vocal and clear about the fact that hackers had everybody's old password. Whatever, I accept that it's my fault

They didn't have everybody's pw - they were just cracking them via brute force, and had gotten enough accounts that action had to be taken.

But yeah, changing the PW's made a ton of work for gravity, so they wouldn't do it without a damned good reason.

ANYONE get their account unlocked yet? I changed my passwords to everything (not only my game accounts) that is possible. Gravity said to just email them back with confirmation that im ready to reactivate my account. I did so but im still banned , ... if any RO valk GM"S read this , PLEASE unlock my account! I have not even been able to partake in a single christmas event so far.

Like Dr. Azzy has been saying, this is not connected to the DDOS attacks, but an issue where zeny sellers are illegally accessing accounts , selling their items and selling that zeny to zeny buying players ( a good reason among many to not support that practice).

The team has been working on answering block tickets like the ones in this thread, we definitely want to help if anyone is missing equips, items and zeny so please send us a ticket if you find the account blocked.

Problem just happened to one of my accounts today, submitted a ticket. The account was fine a few hours ago, no stuff stolen. Went to sleep, woke up to this 2020 ban...

Another reason why you might get a 2020 error is cause :

The account in question was associated with an IP found to be engaged in illegal third party programs. This may have been caused by using a proxy server. We have released your account and you may now log in again.

And I knew very well that the only reason would be lowerping. So if you're using lowerping, chances are you might, might get that message. Although, my ban got lifted in an hour after submitting a ticket.

Turns out I am using lowerping, so that's probably what happened...but my ban still hasn't been lifted more than 6 days after submitting the ticket...

Should I submit another one mentioning that's what happened ?

Yeah I just tried to log in and got this message as well... My account was recently hacked about a week ago. Zeny/Items were stolen... I submitted a ticket the day it happened and still havent received a response yet. I just submitted another one about the 2020 Ban... Is there any way a GM can unblock my account soon? o.0

The thing is I changed my password to something unhackable unless you had a supercomputer at home and 100years time but I need the account reactivated to even SEE if there are any zeny/items missing... I don't see why they need the accounts blocked for so long...
