lol i actually got this idea from someone else while we were talking about it ingame its considering the people that keep there fingers on the f5 (scroll button) key i honestly think that scrolling in union war shouldnt be allowed. Its a war u should be able to know when to run or when to leave not just run into a crowd and "oops its ok ill just scroll".This would help wars a bit from the perspective i see it its not like a bourg/champ will try to hit mid and then just scroll and do it all over again.Any thoughts on this? Why should not be implemented? Why this should be implemented?Feedback please http://forums.warppo...tyle_emoticons/default/042.gif

Put a 5 second casting time on scrolls, during which you cannot move at all.

This. Those NPC's have been bugged for a few weeks for whatever reason and the only way you can leave is by scrolling. Which people do need leave for various reasons: to repair on item, to get some food or pots, to get ammo or even to get more scrolls!

Scrolling doesn't win union wars, it actually does the opposite. And I have a good laugh at the people who 'complain' about scrollers because it is unfair or whatnot when they are the onese ganging a single person 10 v 1 to make them scroll. Alot of times when a person does scroll from this they get disconnected anyway.

Anyway, BrownBear's suggestion is probably the best thing to do.

yea vana's idea is good. I think the only thing that bugs me about scrolling is those who talk trash in a group but scroll when they alone.

i scroll sometimes in UW. not because I care about dying, but because I HATE rebuffing. I wouldn't mind if you lost a proof if you used a scroll.
I try not to do it 1v1 in UW since that is a fair loss. I feel a little different if you are 1v3 or more. Then there is basically no hope. Good job to the teamwork but oh well haha.

dont change the scrolls

just change the opentime of the warpportal

the warpportal should close after lets say 5 minutes or less

that way, a-_- dont get to the union war (who would only leech)
all persons who wanna fight are ready to go in, if union war starts, so it should be no problem

and ok, if urs glitched u end dont get a res, our out...

but maybe they can change the safe town to the union war field if u entered union war...

the npc in uw should sell those :[

i scroll to avoid rebuffing, and i even have my own cleric. what about those who doesn't have their own cleric? people ask for buffs from cleric leech mules would never get rebuffed. once they die, they're at a HUGE disadvantage.

besides, it already takes like 3secs to scroll...

Well the NPC doesn't work (at least sometimes, for me) so you gotta have something to get out of there if you don't want to be there anymore -_-

If you get death glitched you can't always be revived.

If you run out of ammo or food mid war you will want to return with some.

If you get trosed by the portal or while inside you won't be able to return.

Closing the portal early is just a giant inconvenience.

make sure u have enough ammo etc etc then u dont need to scroll -_-
(or die and let the npc transport u back, but then they have to fix that first ofcourse)
Disable scrolls in union wars should get my vote

I don't see the huge issue with scrolling in UW -

I say if people wanna scroll in UW - let them scroll...

scrolling is like spamming food/jelly's.
i think that the best solution is to forbidden using scrolls while uw,if anyone need to repair /buy food or anything else -just do it before it starts,And in each base put a npc that can transfer you to junon.

spamming food as i said and not using food as you want to understand it.
war should be fair -play without running from map,go to unreachable places, and use infinity hp(spamming food).

Spamming food doesn't give you any advantage because it doesn't stack. If anything it is a disadvantage to spam it because you waste it.

foods are spammable but you don't gain anything from doing so as they don't stack.

So far I still like the idea of puting a timer on it. This way if you have any reason to scroll other than to avoid death, you can run to a safe spot and be teleported out within a few seconds of clicking the scroll. And if you are trying to avoid death you can't since you're probably gonna die in that time frame waiting. I know some people may say that they find rebuffing over and over annoying but so does everyone else. Not everyone in UW has the luxury of being fast so, I'm pretty sure if you're decently geared, you can switch sets/gear in order to run away fairly easily(note: if you run into a big group, it's pretty expected that you're probably going to die if you wait till last minute to run out or get stunned by everyone).

If making the scrolls do this map based is too dificult, then maybe make UW specific scrolls that you can buy from the npc and block other scrolls ingame.
