This was suggested in the patch notes thread:

Maybe make the pets invisible when they are in the battlefield, that way its less confusing and bring less lag. The icon at the right side of the hp bar (or below in the party hp bar) should stay, that way the other players would know that the player have it active.

Maybe have a way to toggle them on and off, kinda like costumes. Also, have them stealth when rogues stealth so they don't feel left out of the loop

Yes, but also to keep the battleground clean, because even if one isnt able to target the pets, all those names can be confusing. Maybe if they dont make the pets invisible, make the names dont display during the battle.
