I love this skin, been using it since you made this thread! The only thing I dislike about it is the fact that parts of the equipment window (actually the entire lower part + the 'wings') are a little hard too read because it's a little bit too dark for me (but since I have quite a serious colour vision deficiency it could just be me ). I see you have also changed the buttons under the basic info... I think that is a good improvement (I see no reason for them to be that transparent).

I guess your default looking one will be a little better for me I'm quite curious as to what it will look like.

However if the GM team ever make a poll on changing the current default to a newly designed one, you got my vote!

Version 2 will look a lot like the default skin actually.

But, with new buttons for most things, and a slightly different look. Think a mix of the default ro skin and mine.

So far, that GRF extract that a different source sent me was actually missing some images I already had. It did, however, have images for a Cash Shop interface that I don't believe we have seen yet in iRO.

Still looking for solving the following:
- When buying from a normal shop NPC only one "space" will show in the purchase side, despite being able to buy numerous items at once (Tool Shop, etc). This is a result of the introduction of the Kafra shop, which only allows you to buy one item at a time. No fix known currently.
- Background colors and text in some fields of the Mail window when composing letters are still light orange/peach. Tested colorchip, no help. No fix known currently.
- In the party booking window, the "Tip" button has been left default, as the name of the image file has yet to be identified.
- Some images of the Skill window interface have yet to be identified in order to customize them; specifically the background and tab images.

Thinking right now on whether to rework another old skin or make a new one...

Well, because even the kRO default skin might be missing stuff we need that is simply left to default in the coding. To actually make our own designs/skins, we need many more images than a default skin requires (case in point, when you download RO Renewal now, the skin folder is sadly lacking, but the default skin still works throughout interface). Even if we got the default kRO, I doubt it would solve our problems.

And some of the issues, like the shop displays and such, are glitches with the kRO main client. So they would have the same issues.

If you'll see my post on the first page regarding AssortChild, I gave credit for the original skin, Assort by L@bo, and linked to it on the ROEmpire forums. Mine is just a rework as I didn't have a complete default set of images to go by in the first place.

As far as Sun-Mist goes, I did look at it, but it did not have any new images that I did not already have from other sources.

I was under the impression that Atlas made his own - he has never mentioned reworking any other skin to create his design.

No pointing fingers or anything, I was just curious. I recall another member of the iRO forums put the renewal version of that skin together at my request, so I'm glad to see it's being used.

The Default Phieti skin is a minor rework of the Phieti skin.

Which is why I still call it "Phieti", to give credit. When I made it I didn't know who created it though. However he posted an update to his now, and I've already talked to him =w=


The few things I've taken from the original Phieti skin is the top bars, the normal npc dialog buttons(ok, cancel and such) and some other minor buttons which I really liked.


The rest is my own creation where I've used inspiration from other skins.
Ultimately I'll keep working it around (like I am now with V2) so it turns into another original skin.

It includes a lot of tedious work, I don't have a set theme I'm going with but always trying different ideas. Been creating skins for a while but when I saw Phieti I just fell in love with those X buttons and the top bar.

Well you ended up merging 2 of my favorite skins, and I'm very happy with the way it looks, so thanks for the hard work!

This is and has been my skin of choice for the longest time, so it was only natural that I made a Renewal edit to make it look pretty again. <3 To be honest, I've been sitting on this edited skin forever, using it for my own, but too lazy to make those last little tweaks to finally release it to the public. But I have now. XD

99% compatible; the usual Renewal skin incompatibilities apply (shop signs, skill window, etc.). As soon as there are fixes for them, I'll edit the skin accordingly.

If you spot any bugs or problems (aside from the common incompatibilities), let me know and I'll fix them ASAP!

As mentioned on iROwiki, I will not be releasing the pink version of this skin, as it would simply just take too much time doing the edits. But anyone is free to take this skin as a template and edit the pink version himself. Just make sure I'm at least given credit for the base edit (along with the original creator, of course).

hi i love the skins you guys have done some fine work. quick question ive downloaded 2 from this topic and about 3 from a link figuerd id give a shot at trying to get some to work on renewal being cuz i know there are not many skins atm but anyway the ones ive downloaded ive put into the skins folder and for some reason they dont show up in the video options other than the basic and scribble am i soppose to make a new folder for the new skins or am i doing something wrong?

You must have a folder, that contains all the skin elements, inside the main 'skin' folder for each individual skin. When I open my skin folder under the RO folder on my computer, it has the following folders:

Scribble Kid
Default
AssortChild

Each of those folders has the skin elements inside them. When you download a skin from here or other websites, you will have to extract it to a location. Make sure you extract the skin elements into just one folder.

Do this:
RO folder -> Skin folder -> AssortChild folder -> Skin files

Don't do this:
RO folder -> Skin folder -> AssortChild folder (you might have created) -> AssortChild folder (that you extracted) -> skin files
It won't work, too many folder levels.

Hope that helps, I'm not too good at describing this stuff, and I'm sure there's a better instruction page out there...

I edited the Fragrant Mint skin to be renewal compatible. I did not create this skin, I only edited it. I didn't bother with the auction house skin, the mailbox skin and others since I didn't feel they were necessary.

This one is on the more complicated side. I've been itching to do some skin edits, so I could take a stab at it, but I can't guarantee I'll deliver in a timely manner.

If you have any idea what the font might be though, that would help immensely.
