I've always wanted to hide my gloves from showing with my costume, and a costume like "bare hands" could solve the issue here. The idea is making a costume set with no stats no requirements and basically no looks except for what you see when you ungear everything from your char.

There have been discussions about adding an option to toggle the visibility of costume items to achieve what you are describing, although the short term solution would likely be to add a "birthday suit".

Bendersmom started a topic similiar to this a while back. You might want to take a look at it. It has various ideas in it.
