Super visitor

In Ragnarok we had a character called NOVICE, wich is the visitor class in Rose. Now the idea is to add a super visitor class (super novice in RO), wich can use all the skills from the first job classes.
This way we have a completely new character!

I like the idea but I'm curious on how they could go about doing it. I haven't played Ragnarok so the concept of super visitors is entirely foreign to me. As I see it, a visitor is technically the "bum" of Rose, meaning they are jobless. So how do you make a super jobless character? If they allow all visitors to acquire all 1st job skills then it may mess up newbs who don't exactly know what they're doing. Also, people may try to get super characters by getting crafting skills/buffs/aoe/etc because they are capable of doing so. With this in effect would it make visitors as we know them now a job in itself and have the super visitor the second class? Hm. I think I may have just talked myself out of liking this idea.

The idea for super visitor gives the player an entirely new view of the game. The first lvls of a super visitor should be hard, you need to prove you´r a real `super` visitor! In order to achieve this, it should be something "almost" impossible to do.
- FE the lvl to actually change to the superclass could be lvl 50 - 70 or higher. Not to high though, it´s about having fun to
- The jobchange quest should be fairly complicated. More diffecult than the 2nd job quest, since it's the only job quest you will do. Might want to add something fun to it like: trading items to players of the four classes (a rod to a muse, knife to a soldier etc., wich obviously need to be obtained by gathering items from different mobs)
- To achieve the skills different quests need to be done. For soldier skills obviously a quest for Leonard.
I still believe it's a great idea. Even thinking about it and writing stuff down makes me enjoy it. I realize that the chances a very very BIG that this stays an idea of myself

Instead of making a super visitor class they just need to implement 3rd jobs.
That gives us something to do when we're lvl 220+ (wich is boooring). That's actually one of the reasons why I came up with the super visitor idea (only a tiny tiny bit of boredom though ) ! We need to have challenges in this game, especially after lvl 220. Offcourse we can start over, and make another char, but since most of us already did that in the past (doesn't have to be on narose) that's not always an option. In my case, I yust don't really like all classes, FE the dealer class, but I like some parts of it: FE the buying trick, and options to craft some (low lvl) items.

Here is a suggestion then for your "Super Visitor Class" instead of making it a whole new class. Increase the level you get your first job to say 50 and then 2nd job at 150, But give the visitor class more offensive skills to help kill monsters more efficiently. On a off topic for more challenges for 220+ or any level they should add more party based events similar to the cave in DoD but instead of go kill mob x, go kill mob y, go kill mob z, They could put more goal orriented quests and objectives. like go kill mob x and acquire a torch or key to get past locked door Y. They could add puzzle rooms with certain quests to accomplish. Like members of your party have to stand in a certain sequence on certain set of stones and if they do that they can advance and if they screw up they get shrunk or debuffed or get squashed. There is so much the developers of this game could add to make it not just your every day hack and slash with zero adventure.
I think this will scare off new players, I do agree this will challenge the more experienced players.

Here is the problem with that idea in Rose we have different classes using different weapons, thus causing this being impossible to implement to exemplify,a "Supervisior" using a spear yet, using stun arrow? It would not work out due to how the skills work in rose.I used to play a lot of Ragnarok before I started playing Rose.

Sounds like a interesting idea, but knowing gravity they won't spend any time thinking on this. They already have ALOT of things they need to do before anything else.

The thing is: you choose the skills that will suit you the most. Obviously you cant use mage skill without a staff equiped. But you should be able to heal yourself with a sword equiped. Furthermore you can't use Leap attack with a staff equiped, but you can use passive skills such as defence training or physical training. That's pretty much the idea.

Indeed, I do prefer a bug or 2 being fixed first. Also I'm enjoining yust talking about "new ideas" . Implementation... probably not haha

1 - Level for "super visitor" should be the standard 100.
2 - Quest line should be long, somewhere along the lines of 1-2 days.
3 - Should also get slight access to "new" skills later on [like a buffed up beserk by 5% more]
4 - Only 1 Super visitor per account.
5 - Should call it something else, something along the lines of a 1.Mime or 2.Parodist [like Parodist the most]
I'll see what other ideas I can bounce off this

I think this makes a lot of sense apart from #4. I don't see why only one Super Visitor should be allowed per account. People who want multiple ones will just create more accounts and that's bad.I like this post, Bringing it back with some suggestions.

However, I think new gear should be created for it. I'm also wondering if special weapons capable of performing two tasks at once could be fun. For instance, having a spear that can be used to cast magic spells or a gun with a bayonet that can be used as a sword. No clue what could be combined with a bow though !

A novice should be able to obtain special "hardened" Novista gear wich can be obtained by doing various quests. Quest that will break your mind, cannot be cheated uppon by bots/leeching, but really needs dedicated effort from its players. Like you need to travel to the far ends of luna before you reach lvl 40 to obtain your Novista gear, even with a FS cleric to back you up this would be a pain!
I like it Imagine yourself walking trough Junon, knowing that it took months to obtain the title of a true Novista!
