is the fire trap really the best way to lvl? if so where at and why is it so good? also, ive talked to a few chasers who use SRS as a way to lvl. is this as reliable to use? what makes so many SC use the fire trap instead of other skills?

Fire Trap leveling is quite possibly one of the safest and most supply-efficient way for a Shadow Chaser to level.

1) You don't need to carry many potions if you can make a x4 Hunterfly carded Main Gauche[4] for hp recovery.
2) You can wear a race carded Shield for mobbing. Less risk in mobbing arises from this. You can also mob more.
3) Each Fire Trap only costs 10sp?
4) DPS is faster than Severe Rainstorm and is constant.
5) Cannot kill Ghost-type monsters.
6) Fire Trap damage is essentially constantly the same for everything else and doesn't vary compared to Severe Rainstorm.

Severe Rainstorm
1) Each cast requires 20 arrows and an ample amount of sp.
2) You can't equip a racial Shield, therefore you'll spend more supplies on potions. In turn, you'll have to make more trips back to town for resupplying than compared to Fire Trap leveling. It also makes mobbing a lot more risky.
3) DPS is slower than Fire Traps, due to the cast time.
4) In most cases, in order to be efficient, you'll want an Orc Archer Bow with Steel Arrows and elemental endows in order to do efficient damage to mobs.
5) Can kill Ghost-type monsters.
6) Damage relies on the bow and elemental endows. Damage will fluctuate compared to Fire Trap.

Why do Chasers rely on these two skills for leveling? Both Severe Rainstorm and Fire Trap require the same stat build for damage mod: Dex. Severe Rainstorm requires Agi and Dex for higher damage, but in the end it will all rely on the weapon you're using. For Fire Trap, you merely have to get a lot of Dex and Int for higher Fire Trap damage. Equips don't decide how much damage it does.
