Then actually how the games would work, it isn't something I would find to satisfying to play as a "dialog game", it really would need to have a gui system made for it to make it fun and enjoyable as a mini-game; bingo is a dialog game, and I can tell you that the scripting to make it work is terrible, it has many restrictions on how to play, is very hard to win and is very easy to have it bug out. The bingo was a great intention and much work was put into it, but it ended up being a flop due to how it was implemented, if that level of work is to be done on more mini-games it needs to work better and actually be engaging to do. If the comodo casino were done correctly it would end up being a game money sink, but with a potential to strike it big; to be honest it is not something I see being developed any time soon.
We (iRO) built a raffle system we put in 2 times in the past year, it is setup to be a game money sink with the potential to give stuff that you may need/want, its key is to have items that players want and are expensive enough to warrant spending the zeny in trying to win. I think the idea for it still works well, but we need items of interest to more than just a handful of players.

Or even, I kind of like the idea behind that 'token' system that one of the asian ROs came out with recently (I think jRO), would be nice to see a version of that in iRO.

I'm not sure what you are meaning by that. From what I know of the jRO system you buy "coins" on their website and they are redeemed on the website. You buy coins in sets rather than 1 at a time so it ends up being a bigger investment but also more likely you'll get at leats 1 thing that is neat. You pick up your stuff you won from the event dude that we call "Code the Redeemer".
We opted for an in-game solution that does the same thing, granted I love the idea of it being more visually appealing like a wheel or a slot machine to make you feel more in touch with the system.
But I could be way off of what you were speaking of Sera, if you could clarify it may help us to

By participating in things different things in-game, you are able to earn coins, which can be traded for KVM gear.
Now, I personally like the concept behind the idea, but think their implementation of it was a little bit too limited.
Converting *all* in-game rewards to a standard currency would make that currency much more meaningful overall imo. What I mean by this is, currently we have Prize Medals, Battlegrounds Badges, KVM Badges, Kafra Service Points (The alde ones for yggs and blues, not WPE/Kafra Shop Points), Turbo Track Points, and I'm sure there are a few others that I've left off this list.
By making them accept a standard currency, yes, it does kind of prohibit some of the balancing between the 'values' of the individual currencies, but at the same time, no matter what aspect of the game you are competing in, you are receiving the same reward. You could integrate this reward further by making the tokens an MVP drop, a reward for finishing dungeons, reward for completing quests, etc.
Not meant to replace the kafra shop in any way, but consolidate existing systems into a more accessible manner.
I know offering the KVM badges for various things was a step towards making the gear more accessible, but with KVM gear more accessible and battlegrounds bugged, there is absolutely no incentive for anyone to run battlegrounds, and for instance, I still need some medals of honor, which are better for some chars than KVM rings. So this would free you up from "should we offer BG badges this time, or more KVM badges, should we reward this kind of point or that kind of point, etc" and consolidate it into a single offering.
So, while I think being able to redeem tokens for KVM gear is a neat idea, I think it needs to be taken a step further, throw in a few other methods to obtain the tokens (lucky boxes and a few in-game things come to mind) and open up the rewards to more than just KVM gear.

I know you would want to make it graphical and look nice, but if you just do what you can, make it text based, and it proves to be popular, you may have what you need to convince kRO that further development time on their part is worthwhile. Troy is proof that a text based mini-game can be popular in RO.
Also, I agree that account bound items are best for rewards.

Two other ideas:
Add a RO based MUD mini-game that allows players to play RO in turn based format. Defeating monsters awards prize medals. Could be lots of fun but also a lot of work to implement.
Turn the Kunlun monster battle arena into a monster gladiator arena. Pick two random monsters to fight and let players bet on the winner for prizes. PETA doesn't need to know!

On topic of the raffle thing, if you plan on releasing a lucky box headgear or something, perhaps you could do like a 'first dibs' type of thing the week before with a very low chance to get the headgear before it is formally released.
I like this idea!
Though it looks like inflation currently isn't a problem - at least not on Ymir. Most people are talking like there's a shortage of zeny, rather than an excess. Third job leveling (without kahii, hfc, or other solutions) is really potion intensive.

This would be a LOVELY alternative to Monster Racing. *wink, wink, kRO*Turn the Kunlun monster battle arena into a monster gladiator arena. Pick two random monsters to fight and let players bet on the winner for prizes. PETA doesn't need to know!
