This is something I have been thinking about for a while now.
So many people complain about the blueish/ice glow of the refined items these days.
How about being able to add a way to change your glow while refining!?
Main 4 versions would be:
Red, Blue, Golden (default), and Black (Makes things darker, or adding "mdef up" like effect to EQ).
My first thought was to utilize current refine items as elements for change.
Refining with Powder would yield blueish glows.
Refining with Lisents would yield redish glows.
Refining with only Runes would yield goldish (default) glows.
(Never got so far to thinking about what to use for "black glows")
Then I started thinking, what happens if somebody switches refine element halfway through?
So to combat this problem, I figured there would be tokens instead and that way a user could refine with whatever element they wanted.
Obtained through IM.
The token only has to be added at the prior refine level, it can not be added once an item has reached its intended refine level.
For example. somebody wants a red glowing refine 15 weapon... They need to add the token when the item is going from 14 to 15.
Same procedure applies regardless if it's weapons, shields, clothing etc..
I think this would add a little bit more to the game in ways of customizing your characters so they don't all look alike.
Discuss.
