This thread is based in an old skill suggestion from the old forum and the MakoXD's thread called Items - Class requirement - recommended

1st, unlike as it is now, the weapons/shields that are usable for specific classes would give penalties if are used for other classes. Those penalties could be less Attack Speed, less Accuracy and less damage, and in the case of the shields, less Block Defense and less Block Rate.

2nd, some classes could get skills that let them improve their performance with those weapons. For now i only have 2:

-Shield Mastery (Druids): this passive skill would let Druids to wear melee shields without penalties. This skill would be similar to the Shield Mastery (Protector) with the only difference that would cover the penalty from wear an out of class item and also would give extra Block Rate and Block Defense bonuses.

-Bard Mastery (Templar): would let Templars to use 2h weapons without penalty. At max lvl would give compensate the speed penalty and give a little extra damage and accuracy.

The Druid idea is good, because they cant use melee shield! :/


[not many Templars use 2h weapon :o]
