I recently downloaded the client (10/29/2011) and the client is failing to patch completely.

The file 2011-5-5 data_gm.gpf downloads to 9717760/9720614, freezes for a few moments, and then states:

Failed to get 2011-5-5 data_gm.gpf file.

This has happened roughly 10 times in a row now with the same result. Is there an alternate patching method, or fix to this problem?

Geez, did this really go so many months without an answer? I am so sorry.

There are a few things you will want to check:

-make sure that you are installing to a location that you have admin control over and make sure to run the game as an admin if you are on Windows 7.

Make sure to try starting the game from the .exe in your RO folder, not from a shortcut.

-If those don't work you can try deleting the patch.txt file to try forcing it to repatch

Also, if you are behind a firewall or are still using the client from October that may cause problems.

Hi i just downloaded the client installed and started to patch when i had the same problem they state before. i tried your solutions but did not work. W7 in admin full mode with special permitions so? what can i do?
