Maintenance notes: 30 min maintenance.

• Gramps will warp properly to Abyss 1 and skill use will work on landing
• Turtle island to and from should work with skill use on landing.
• All WoE flags use skills on landing
• WoE kafras will send and allow skills.
• Overlook dungeon use skills on landing
• Maps updated for 14.1 so full access is available.
• All the Laurel Wreath, Christmas Holiday box and Early Wrapped Christmas Gift will be trade/vendable.
• Enriched hammer will appear from the ground after maint.

But I want to update you all with what is happening.


The DC issues of 12/21 sadly would have happened even if 14.1 was not implemented today, we had a network DB problem that seem to have been causing a desyncing when certain normal tasks were performed on the DB. The desyncing made our account server lose track and suddenly every DCs. We fixed this issue around 5pm today, wish it was sooner but those of us that were a part of the process had been up for 27 hours or so by that point and functioning in the head was not working.

The early morning problem was a 14.1 NPC problem that was causing about half the quests in the game to not update properly. This would not have occurred on Sakray because only testing quests were in and loaded last so there were no other NPCs to affect. That issue was fixed by about 10am.

Currently I know there are rsome new world maps that were not perfectly updated with maintenance so you can not properly walk between maps, I also know the Laurel wreath is account bound. We will be fixing both issues along with some DB repair work tomorrow around 1pm PST. This should stabalize everything so we can all get back to enjoyment of Ragnarok over this holiday weekend.


If you have other bugs to report please do (especially map bugs)

Some things that are not bugs but have had considerable discussion. Monsters being tougher. This is intended, they were too weak and dumb before. But the rewards were NOT lowered, that was a change that while originally intended as part of this update and we decided that lowering rewards is not the direction we want to go, instead we want more challenge not more time to be the focus.

What about enabling teleport in Splendid and making sure that the portal from bifrost field 01 back to splendid does not teleport you randomly but places you next to the portal from splendid to bifrost field 01?

Also can you guys please update sakray? The instance is bugged atm and I really want to double check to see if you guys get it up and running properly to make sure that people can access the contents of 14.1.

The newbie eden group gifts have 1 weight again and are character bound. Cant transcend with them. They were 0 weight before maint.

We checked the drop penalty last night, and it is NOT active, that and the exp adjustment based on level is what we set it to back last May.

We will look at those maps and randoming as well as the dewata map thing.

Mighty hammer will make an appearance between now and next tuesday.

I'm not entirely sure what happened, but earlier today during all of the disconnecting debacle, there was a strange incident in a party that I was in. Party chat stopped working, and then, even though everyone was online and killing stuff in the dungeon, party window was showing that no one was online. Party wide buffs like magnificat were only applied to the Priest that cast them. We ended up having everyone relog, and that fixed the problem, but it was definitely really weird.

Heimdallr : Next blatently false thing you state will require you being on moderation so you stop mis representing truth in the forums. Your high post count makes new players "trust" you and your statements misleading them are causing problems.
