You need to know a programming language!

Me and Lithi did some work on a new one, but we both stopped.

I stumbled upon Requiendium not so long ago, under another address of course but it was exactly the same. Not sure if the website is still up, I'll have to look for it in my History, if anyone is actually interested (Doubtful since it was outdated as hell, and about 5 people still play this game) Thing is I always liked that website, it wasn't buggy like Kruxena and the Russian one (and wasn't translated from Russian), except the DNA was messed up and Skills became outdated. Nevertheless! I have the flash files from Requiendium saved, was thinking of checking if it can be updated, but my "totally paid for retail copy of Flash CS5" is broken so I just forgot about, and the flash file doesn't load in any Flash Player, would be nice as an Offline Calculator. Found the website within 3 seconds :blah: http://residualvisual.com/

Doubt anyone is gonna read this though unless me replying sends a notification to Freja or something XD

TL;DR Version: Found Requiendium Clone -> http://residualvisual.com/ Would be nice if someone could try making an updated version

To compensate for the wall of text, here's a picture of a Ditto

WAY ahead of you pretty, already did this and the guy said he shut the website down himself, he stopped playing and still needed to pay for the Domain, which he didn't use, I'm guessing the website I found is just a mirror. He also said that the way I was thinking of updating it is impossible, the database for all the skills is SQL based... and well I didn't really understand that part.

"I took it down just because I didn't really feel like paying for the domain and host anymore... since i havent played the game forever. and didn't want to deal with google ads. I have the source files somewhere I just don't know where.... but anyway the skills and dna are all sql based.. the code shouldn't need to be updated to change those"

Seems to me like he means the only thing that needs to be changed is the SQL Database, not sure if he also has that or not.

Why not just an offline C# application that checks periodically from a website for the latests data file. The data can be stored in xml format, so it can be easily viewed and updated in notepad.

Much easier to write and code can be open source.

From what I understand, the Skill Calculator (Requiendium) uses an SQL Database with all the skills, prerequisites and requirements. Meaning that updating the Database will update the Flash itself, however the guy hasn't replied in a while. I sent him an e-mail a few days ago requesting the SQL Database, he said he would send it along with all the other files needed, he just hasn't done it yet. Currently waiting for a reply.

Well I'm not trying to impress you but I know C++, however I don't wanna bother making an application when we could update (or try to) Requiendium with a new database.

Any news yet?

When me and Lithi were manually beginning to populate a skill database Lithi dug up some skill tables from some .vdk file in the game folder. That should come in handy instead of reading forum patch notes, and checking in-game descriptions of skills.

http://search.yahoo....-8&fr=yfp-t-701

Or search the link for site
http://inmmo.ru/requiem/db/calc

when search is complete most browsers have a "Translate"
From there you translate then join site (it's free) then off you go.
This site is also updated to provide you with correct level (level 80 and up)
The other skill calc sites only calculate to lvl 79 and the also exclude certain DNA.

Have fun and GG.

Well, he said he will send all the files I need to me, but that was nearly a month ago so probably no luck there. I already sent him two e-mails about it, I doubt a third one will suddenly work. If you want to use your charm to persuade the guy to provide the files, you can try his e-mail listed on the website in the about section (http://www.residualvisual.com/)
