Ok, planning to use this image for next week's spotlight. Also, using this for the "title image" for the update.

I found the main component of the image from a google image search for "Hagia Sophia"

I used fonts from the site dafont.com and GIMP to put it together.

Just put in my latest up in the patcher. Still need to get a better "Bonus KP with VIP subscription" image.


I am so happy with the PNG format, it doesn't get all funky looking like jpgs do.

The upgrade event banner looks awesome. The lines are really clear and I love the repeating Hammerfall (?) icon in the back and the gradient. My only criticism is the font, which I personally dislike, but I think that it suits the event itself either way. =D

each time a jpg gets saved it deteriorates a little more

kind of like recording something on VHS then re-recording it over to another VHS via coaxial (back in the days)

Ech, trying to come up with ideas for a No More Spam patcher icon. Was thinking of having a novice with a speech balloon "..." or some way of showing that he's not gonna be annoying anyone anymore.

i assume that wizard/lif artwork that ti:v did is OK to use, as the potion-drinking novice on the front iRO page is from the exact same image. but if not let me know

Thank you to everyone who contributed designs, feedback and ideas in this thread. We will be working on making the new patcher a reality in the near future. Once we get dimensions for the icon images, we can open up art submissions for those as well since you guys are way better at those than I.

Hey, to the creative people in the thread, do you think you would be able to do something nice with this image or maybe help me come up with some good splash image for the top of the update page? I'd like to get a retro travel poster thing going, but you guys have a much more artistic touch than I. Probably have to make a "please help Oda with some art" request thread soon.

the icon dimensions i used were 167x120. (unless kRO ends up tweaking the layout)


oda - what sort of copy needs to go onto the splash image? does it need to be any particular size(s)?
