Wow. You are definitely playing the wrong game. Resource management is an essential part of playing. People are giving you legitimate advice and all you're doing is just asking for the GM team walk you by the hand. Do Dally Quen and get some woe blue pots, get strawberries/honey, get some int in your stat build, get a rwh; there are so many different ways of approaching this. Hundreds if not thousands of RKs before you have leveled just fine, before even mora set bonus came out. I'm sure you can manage.
I don't care what ANY of you say, the FACT is, No they didn't. ALL rune knight single target killing, NOW costs 2 times as much SP to execute than before the balance patch. The balance patch caused our powerful single strike attack, clashing spiral, to do like 7k damage, and replaced it with hundred spears, which costs TWICE the amount of SP. It doesnt matter what any of you THINK, the FACT is, it now costs DOUBLE the amount of SP to kill 1 single target. It needs addressed. Period.
PS: Had to caps key words for it to sink into your concrete brain

HS does better damage, though - and with +9 RWH and nyd mant and SP gear, you should be able to keep it fed with SP. Er, well, no nyd mant cause you need the mora set presumably.
The SP cost is higher than it needs to be, but HS has a lot more going for it than CS, so it should cost more than CS did. Do you have the mora set? Have you seen bellum spear (upcoming)? HS can be made to do some pretty epic damage.
RK is a bit OP if anything after the balance patch. So I don't really have much complaint.
WB on your latest acct, Laz
Thanks, but the damage is Not what I am complaining about. The damage is pretty balanced. I'm talking about the ridiculous and un-needed SP cost. Went from single target killing with 30 SP, to having to spend 60 SP to get single target kills, cutting my exp in Half. All knight classes SP and regen sucks. Even with high int as required for things like dragonbreath. I have every piece of gear available, and No gear or SP regen reduces it enough for it to be palatable. It's still extremely slow. The cost of 60 SP is way too high for a single target attack. I love how cross impact and such things hardly cost much in comparison. 25 SP for cross impact? LOL. There is no reason why Hundred Spears cost cant be toned down, and it WOULD NOT affect balance in ANY sort of way.

Will that help?
If you wanna stick with HS in lvling up, I'd highly recommend Morpheus set, despite of its crappy defense, it adds 40% total sp to your pool.
I'm not rich either but I think these items are affordable.

And as mentioned before, you can equip two Ur's seals to make the SP cost even lower. I equip two Ur's seals all the time myself since I have two with +250 sp enchants.
Hundred spears is stronger than CS so the sp cost is completely balanced in my opinion. And my RK is my main character.

"Single target skill" and "third class leveling" should never go in the same sentence. You NEED to aoe to get any exp out of a character beyond level 100. Even earlier than 100 actually. If you can't solo (or dual with AB) AOE level, milk the turn ins as much as you can. Grind them even if you don't have count or are on cooldown; they'll give you more exp than "hundred spears leveling".

i agree with u on that one but sigh i hate using buts make me think of my own 0.0 i digress any who laz would prob say its this prob
-5 SP is obviously not even close to enough of a reduction.
but from what i know a reduction means to reduce what ur currntly dishing out so if ur dishing out 60 sp per skill and its reduced by 5 guess what lol i love this part it counts as a reduct but again if ur so unhappy bout it play another class hmm hmm hmmmmmmmm
im on a horse and give it some carrots

You're doing something wrong, man. Maybe the problem is that you're trying to level a third job char with a single target skill, which no matter how you do it is going to be ridiculously slow. If you're leveling aggressively with HS, you will need blues to supplement the RWH proc (carry an incubus pet to help with proc rate, ofc) - and even then, no matter what you do, you can't level a third job char with a single target skill past 120 at the very highest. Third job chars need to mob to level, and luckily, RK's have not one, but TWO excellent antimob skills. Thanks, but the damage is Not what I am complaining about. The damage is pretty balanced. Besides - doing turnin quests with a party is faster by far than leveling the old fashioned way...
Cross impact is cheap to use because it's a crapola skill. The damage is lousy and the skill is ineffective for both leveling and PVP/WoE. At least HS does great damage.
Also: CS was OP pre-balance patch (AFAICT, the formula had a misplaced parenthesis, causing the weapon weight to be multiplied by the skill level twice, hence the insane damage). It was a 30 sp trans skill that did more damage than most third job skills. It was not balanced. That's why it was nerfed (it's still useful as LK, by the way).
And, as an aside - HS doesn't have to be useful for leveling; the skill is good enough that it doesn't need to be practical to level with in order to be reasonable. Like I said before - the cost could be lowered a bit, but 30 is way too low, and 40 probably is too. I've seen 100k unlexed hundred spear's...

Also, most GX builds tend to have 1 int or very low int. RK builds tend to have high int for DB or Storm Blast. So, the SP cost for Cross Impact is quite fair. Expert GXes will also chain CI so they will be using it twice (double the SP). 5 sp for rolling cutter does seem a bit unfair / OP, but GX already get so much crap from people / discrimination that getting buffed from balance patch does seem like it is deserved.
I also see that you posted on the suggestions thread... why are you still not convinced that third classes NEED to AOE to get exp?

clashing spiral does 7k damage, and is absolutely useless for "leveling" as a rune knight. Rune knights went from single target killing with 30 SP (spiral) to having to use hundred spears Currently 60 SP. Our leveling ability cut in HALF. Simple math.
7k CSs? What the hell are you using a level one weapon? Mine's does 13k
HS is a PVP attack, not a leveling tool. It's a extremely high attack move to bring someone down
Iginiton Break and Dragon Breath are better skills to use for leveling.
