Have you tried dusting your computer, clearing your cache, cookies, junk files, temp files, ect?

On Classic the only time I get DC'd is when I switch maps and the login server happens to be down

The world would be a much better place if dusting your computer kept you vending all night.
Just about everything you try will be futile if you live on the East Coast. The packet loss and latency to Gravity (and most other MMO's in California) can be horrid at times.

It can help lower computer temperature which will lessen strain on your hardware
Ah, East Coast.

Back in the day, when I was noob to computers, I had trouble with mine. Lag, crashes, games lagging out. Friend edumacated me, and sure enough, removing the dusts lowered the heat being produced thus a lot less strain on my hardwear. I wasn't lagging out anymore
Wait, you're not thinking I'm just saying wipe off the outside, are you?
Cleaning your computer will help with computer lag. But not enough cleaning in the world will help a spike of 1000ms latency when you hit a random server in god knows where. For most games the problem occurs at the ATT network, but my trace to gravity doesn't seem to go through them.
RO seems to be much more sensitive to latency and will just DC you.

Damn, you're hitting 1k latency? Worse than what I was thinking.

Try to remove any object on top of your PC case or on your desk. Those interfere with magnetic waves by oscillation of electrical signals from wireless and/or wired connections by fragmenting data streams through the atmosphere or other mediums and causes latency and packet loss by overheating the molecules in the surroundings which causes your Ragnarok client, by the binary data it broadcasts via your vending, to lose its chakra, so its better to improve the karma of your area by removing things that may or may not be affecting the feng shui of your vend items.

Yes. And don't forget to throw on incense. It'll make you sick, but it's bound to make your computer dance erratically while singing FRIDAY. Also, take it to Manila for a shopping trip

Damn, you're hitting 1k latency? O_O That's pretty darn bad, wow
I have in other games, mainly ones that go through the ATT network, as mentioned. It's a yearly event for a lot of people using certain ISP's on the East Coast.
For RO, it's harder to track since there is no in game latency display. I'm more likely around 80~100 at good times. Not sure about when I lag and DC though since it's difficult to catch the short spikes that DC to run a trace.

If you want to give this a test, just login to RO, and put your PC to sleep. Log back in and check to see if you were DC'ed. I hope this helps.

* Is your computer overheating (this is a very common problem on laptops where you close the cover at night)? If so, dust your computer as others have suggested. As computers start to overheat, they crank back the speed of the processor to reduce heat generation - often to the point where it's slow enough that it has trouble staying connected to RO. This isn't just smoke and mirrors. I have had a system that would disconnect due to overheating, but worked fine as long as I dusted it every month or two.
* Is your computer going into any sort of sleep or powersave mode? If so, turn that off. The only thing you can turn off and not disconnect RO is the screen.
* Does your computer turn off the network card when the screen is off? I have a Dell for work that turns off the network card when the screen is off (despite being set to not turn off the network card)
* Is your connection to RO stable in general? If it's not stable when you're at the computer, you're never going to be able to vend overnight. Do the usual workup on your connection to determine if the problem is on your local network (dodgy wifi/router) or somewhere between you and gravity. If it's on your end, fix your network, if it's a routing issue, use lowerping.

Likely an issue with going AFK and your computer going into some sort of sleep mode that DC's it.This actually happens to me when I leave my character on for a long time. Like when I sit to regen for awhile and watch TV, when I come back I DC.

the problem is the internet connection on their server, i often leave my char online while iam watching a movie and he always DC "have been a gap between...", my computers are quite good and it happens in all of them, and i'm 100% its not my internet conection that its actualy pretty decent and it even happen when iam travel abroad.
Plenty of people CAN vend overnight without DCing, so the problem isn't Gravity's internet connection. Otherwise everyone would have this problem, right? I recently stayed connected from wednesday woe to the next week's maintenance (tabbed the whole time), and that sort of long-term connection stability is typical of my experience in the past few months.
Have you verified that your computers aren't going into some sort of powersave mode? As I mentioned, windows default settings for even desktop computers go into powersave modes that will disconnect you from the internet (even if you turn off sleep, it will turn off harddrives and network card after however-many minutes without kb/mouse input, unless you tell it not to). Also, some computers will turn off the network card when they turn the screen off, regardless of power settings. I strongly suspect the issue is something related to a powersave mode.
Are you using a service like Lowerping? If you have a crappy route to the gravity servers, your connection stability might suffer - but if this is the case, it would probably DC more frequently when you're actively playing vs. when you're AFK.

none of my computers have powersave mode or any kind of dc, this doesnt happen when i left selling on fRO or on bRO, i tryed lowerping and wtfast and same results.
the only ppl that have this problem is outside US, my bro can vend without getting dc, even using one of my laptops that here always dc

the entire vend system is absolutely retarded to begin with. we have a perfectly capable auction house built into the game and nobody uses it. makes so much more sense to run an auction house, then to have 100s of players afking and eating up bandwidth on the games server. i would be perfectly ok with gravity taking my vending spell away and refunding me those points towards other things or giving us a cool replacement spell (how about ENDURE!!!!!!!!!!!!)
