Solved: Failed to write file. PatchClient\Thumbs.db

Tried to patch my game file and at the end of it:

Solution:

Same here.

To solve this you will have to make Thumbs.db visible and delete it manually from the .../PatchClient/ folder, then patch again and it should work.

Here is a guide how to make the thumbs.db file visible:

Afterwards you can change it back to default again.


Dual Clienting Solution:

Dual clienting? I started two renewal client instances and let them patch, but only hit "start" and logged in once both were fully patched. Please try that.

That's my issue too, can't log in the game, also i download the file of the patch server, and still like that.

Same here.

Yeh thumbs are solved but another problem comin ohh damm,
this new client they made wont let you set dual play
everytime you open him he write something to system, so he dont start if another is running

how to repair this??

1.Open two Patchers.
2. Wait untill they are fully patched.
3. Click start button on both of the patches before attempting to log in.
4. Dual Client Play.

Now I can't play =\ Same error but I can't fix it. Will GM's be able to give us a fix? And will VIP get like a 1 month addition to their VIP status? These weekly errors with the game that literally block game play are just -.-ing bs. I'm getting sick of paying to not play.

Try using Revo Uninstaller to make sure it gets everything associated with RO out. Then try re-installing.

Oddly enough, I haven't had any patching issues except for when they implemented the Replay update. It sucks to hear all of these problems.

I managed to get Sakray client to work but 0 luck with the main servers. Sakray got the exact same bug and now it works but the main servers still don't. =\

Nice Gaia Online Avatar, but could you possibly post images of the error your receiving so that others may see the problem at hand and possibly give you an educated opinion on how to solve your problem.

I'm running vista and cannot delete that file. I tried clearing the cache instead and it still wont work. Any ideas?

I am having the same PatchClient/Thumbs.db problem now. I tried renaming the patch folder, deleting it, nothing worked. Last time i had this problem, it got fixed by renaming the folder, but not this time.
