I was wondering what is the best lvl 200 honor gear for each Job type and why? Is it mostly a matter of personal preference? I see a lot of people buying Glorious these days so that made me think of this question.

For a knight/tank its head an chest luminous. Glove and shoe glorious. I think. I'm not at home but I will check. Total it gives a 32% effect on pvp. Like 12% offense. 20% defense. This includes honor back a lumi weapon. I built that set for my knight but haven't tested against a full chiv sooo yeah.

As for offense I didn't build one yet. You don't want to go pure off though. With the set I chose for tanking, it would fully negate the offense % and still give me the 12% offense. And full chiv gives 0% defense.

Do note: I am not telling you that if you tank to use this set. I'm just stating that % total benefit. Its one of the best. It'll give mdef which some people find useless. I find it very usefull for negating magic attacks in conjunction with the pvp % resistance. How you build and play your char should probably reflect in your choice of gear.

My opinion:
Champions/Knight - chivalrous
Raider/scout - Glorious
Mage - Chivalrous
Cleric - Glorious
Bourg - Chivalrous
Artisan - Glorious
Luminous gear is just useless these days, and this statement was based on the idea that you were asking for whole sets.

Which gear you use depends what you are doing with the class somewhat. If you are going to stay in and fight, hit and run etc.


For most offensive classes Glorious just triumphs everything else. With the change to passives a few months ago the attack power you gain from Chivalrous/Luminous is negligible compared to the 30% attack speed from glorious. The attack power along with the 13% pvp offense from chivalrous will more or less balance out with the 6% offense and 30% attack speed on glorious. However Glorious also comes with a big 12% pvp resistance where Chivalrous has none. You get raw defense and hp from chivalrous, but you also get defense and alot of dodge (and acc) from Glorious.

Other than using it for an attack power/crit buff, I would would take full Glorious over full chivalrous to fight in for any character.

Precious is good if you like to hit and run, preferably for ranged classes.

Luminous is kind of odd but it is a great defensive set, especially if you mix it with 2 glorious like Feuer mentioned.

Some general combos of what I might use.

Champion: Glorious, 2 Chivalrous/2 Luminous,
Knight: Glorious, 2 Glorious/2 Luminous,
Raider: Glorious, Precious
Scout: Glorious, Precious
Launcher Bourgeois: Precious, 2 Luminous/2Chivalrous
Artisan/Gun Bourgeois: Precious, 2 Luminous/2 Chivalrous, Glorious
Cleric Support: Glorious, 2 Glorious/2 Luminous, 2 Precious/2 Glorious, 2 Precious/2 Luminous
Cleric Battle: Glorious, 2 Luminous/2 Chivalrous
Mage: Luminous, 2 Glorious/2 Luminous, 2 Precious/2 Luminous

What do people think regarding blues? do any of them blue sets challenge the quality of the green sets? if so which sets are best for what class (PVM)

Honor sets are the only ones used by players while fighting in crystal defenders. The bonuses they offer are just better than other "blue" sets. However and as stated before, some prople used these blue sets for buff set.

Regarding valor set, I personally used Brave on my cleric. The dodge rate bonus has no equivalent on blue sets.

My plan:

Reinforced/Legendary (dependent on sub stats) for PVM on Cleric and Raider.

Same for my Mage as its my main but only to farm so I can get a Valor set.

Sound like a good plan? ill try get a hold of some purple 200 weapons too

Any suggestions regarding Jewelry, Masks, Back armor and Gems? haha
